I opened the cabin door to find Alzar crouching next to it. He stumbled to his feet at the sight of me. This kid was a pain in my ass.
I crossed my arms across my chest and lean against the door frame. "How long have you been here for?"
His clothes were changed. I guessed it meant he went to his cabin at some point. It was unbelievable that I never even sensed he was out here. Power radiated from the kid with each passing day. He was getting stronger and taller. Inch by inch. I could sense that power from a mile away. Not that day, it seemed.
He rubbed beneath his nose. "I just wanted to tell you Leo made tea and sandwiches."
He did not seem too happy about that combination.
I bobbed my head. "Okay."
The kid wiggled his nose. "He always makes tea and biscuit or tea and sandwiches. It's the only thing he knows how to make. I miss Scarlet's cooking."
