Before we knew it, the night was over, and we were back on the road. The atmosphere had somewhat gotten lighter. Sabastian never left my side through the journey. It was too obvious for anyone not to notice. None said a word, either way. I was sure they detected the ring on my finger. For some reason, I never felt the need to go without it. It was almost as if I had forgotten it was there.
"The final stop is a few meters north," Finn announced. "We can get there before sundown. The village will be busy, so that won't be a problem."
"Oh," Tessa stretched. "I miss home. We can do a tour. You guys will love that."
Home. It had been a while since I heard that word. Who would have thought someone would be happy when they described a place in this realm as home?
