Going further and further up his arm she began to remember something, and an insignia began to form in her eyes.
An Executioner's Platform.
A Floating Sword.
Dragon's Wings and Sealed Soul.
There was only one who wore all of the distinguished symbols upon their coat, and that was the one who stood above the entire Shou Clan.
The Sword Dragon.
Yet, she also saw a hidden figure among his clothes, a pair of eyes lazily lounging it's presence in the clouds surrounding the floating sword.
Yet, despite it's lazy gaze, she felt pierced by it.
Then, her eyes drew up to his face.
Hair as white as freshly fallen snow and eyes hidden behind a smooth red wrapping.
His lips then moved slightly.
"Who are these people on the letter?" He said, almost as though he were charming her.
Her heart fluttered for a moment, but it was not out of a sense of sudden love, or perhaps even a new infatuation on the uptake, nay.... fear.
She was by no means an ugly girl, and in this world where the strong set their eyes upon that which belongs to another without a care, she'd been targeted before and felt no flattering feeling from it.
Only a sense of terrible, unabiding fear riddled her.
However, she mustered a reply.
"...These are the Shou Clan of Sea Spring! They were recruiting here, applied and… and..." Her words trailed off as she suddenly sensed a thick danger surrounding her.
Her instincts sharp, she knew something was wrong.
His head which was now looking around slowly turned back to the girl caught in his arms and he smiled lightly.
"You hold similar senses as my own, sharp instincts." He let her down from his arms, immediately she felt relief, though she was no longer afraid of him.
Instead, her senses were pointed outward at the strangeness in the atmosphere, a shift even.
That was, until she felt the tug on her sleeve, her grandfather pulling her away, he had also noticed the change, his many years as a street vendor letting him notice such subtle changes.
Feng Wuqing watched quietly as the vendor and his daughter retreated back into their home, leaving herself and Shou Xin outside waiting.
The street had cleared.
"Come out." She was not asking. The subtle strength of her calm aura spread out in vast ripples, revealing the location of those around.
Some quivered within their homes, some watched from their windows hidden in dark corners, and some had the undulations of power only a cultivator could have.
These were the people she spoke to, the people she demanded of.
Under the powerful oppression, these people released their own auras, those of the Law Realm.
The people in their homes were put under immense stress and would have died due to the wanton use of such pressure if not for Shou Xin releasing his own and enveloping them.
"Bleed then." He was enraged by their actions.
He'd taken more lives than would allow him to ever sound righteous, however he'd never taken a single innocent life, never did he kill wantonly nor massacre without a care.
It always had reason, making the near slaughter of these mortals all the more sickening to he who prided himself on never killing innocents.
As he was about to move, however, she turned to look at him, revealing a still water within her eyes as though saying to still his heart.
And so, he held back.
A few moments passed by at an ungodly slow pace, and soon a new power began to come from afar within the cities depths, twenty unchained experts, the guards of the eastern gates from which they'd entered.
"A Feng need not dirty their hands within Fengshi." She spoke with a truly damnable calm, those hidden in frozen terror within the shadows, the Law Experts who'd appeared thought as much.
The mere mention of a Feng was enough to thoroughly scare them, yet.
"Time is running out. We cannot hesitate any longer." A gruff voice, rigid and without the fear his body displayed, "Revenge for the Yan!"
The snake that eats its own tail.
The sign of the Yan clan of Yan State!
She stood without moving, even as the blades of the Yan closed in on her throat, she was without an ounce of fear.
He took one look at the swords coming towards her, and could not restrain himself any longer.
So what if Unchained Experts were soon to arrive?
So what if they were far stronger than him?
What was the point of gathering strength if one cowered the moment it was time to use it?
A vast aura spread along the ground, the wrap around his eyes were loose, revealing his scarlet eyes which carried within a vast unkempt battlefield.
Those expert's saw their own ruin in it.
Beneath the valley, through the mountains, Yan Reverse Sword Strike.
A haunting echo which spoke volumes of the lives it had taken.
Seventh Stage Law Expert.
"Die." A slick voice in his ear.
The tyrannical aura did not shake as the sword reached his arm, instead his eyes deepened into an unfathomable abyss.
His arm was cleaved into, but it could not be fully cut off! Even with four realms up on him, without a physical cultivators strength and only relying on his Law's strength, it was not enough!
The harmony within him made his powers many times stronger, enough so that whilst he could not win the straight fight, he was not forced to lose either.
Yet, the expert whose seemed to be leader of these people realized too late.
Swoosh.
An unfeeling, uncaring blade came down and took his head.
There was no pain for him.
But for Shou Xin, the pain was skin crawling.
As it turns out, having an arm hanging almost fallen off, is quite the painful endeavor such that his veins began to pop up as his physique and inner sea were fighting off the invasion of very powerful qi, making him look like an angry asura.
His breathing heavy as he took a step forward.
The experts of the Yan Clan clearly not knowing what do against the beast.
It was then, when they hesitated that another aura arose like a mountain growing from the earth, low undulating waves of power which spoke of it's calm vastness yet also bellied it's wicked strength.
That queen which stood off to the side, watching in her ever draining patience, had snapped.
"I was too lenient." She did not move, yet it felt as though she was everywhere all at once, "In Fengshi, a Feng does not need get their hands dirty? Naive."
She regretted what she'd said whilst trying to show off. Though it was the truth, it was the rule, but here is the exception.
Those Unchained Experts had yet to arrive.
Her beloved's arm was cut almost off to defend her.
She was a steady mountain no longer.
Blackened hands, beautiful bands and suffering sands, Devouring Fist.
Winds gathered and the breeze was blown away, those law experts grit their teeth.
They were the elites of the Yan Clan!
Beneath the valley, through the mountains cover the sky, Yan Sword River!
BOOM!
Their combined might created a vast river in the sky, seeking to take in everything as though an unending stream leading to an unknown ocean.
They stood like keepers of the waters, swords drawn.
The Devouring Fist took it's form from the wind and then became solid, packed with her World Devouring Law's Qi!
The fist mark began to expand and fold, undulating as though whatever was inside wished to escape! Empty screams reverberated through the area like ringing in ones ear.
As the two powers showed off to eachother, Shou Xin had managed to evacuate the civilians from the area, only arriving back once they were about to clash!
The river began to hum against the empty screams of the Devouring Fist!
His pupils shrank.
"They are going to reverse it!" His shout was drowned out by the clashing of the two techniques!
BOOM!
CRASH!
The Devouring Fist was directly submerged into the vast river!
Within it, one could see the waters bubbling and trying to devour and tame the power, of which it did not take long!
Leave the sky, escape the mountains, strike the river beneath the valleys, Yan Reverse River Stroke!
"Hmph!" His eyes turned bloodshot as the veins all over his body threatened to pop, and sweat pooled in his clothes.
He was losing consciousness from the blood loss soon.
