Lilith reaches the Sundom country and stands on top of the hill. She uses her almighty vision to observe where Lucas is. She sees him near the church asking for food from the elderly.
"Awww, my dear Lucas!~"
Suddenly a memory flashes in her head.
*Three years into the future - Elemental school of Fire Dragon*
Near the entrance of the school stands two people. A young man and a child. Jim and Lilith. Lilith keeps making lots of hand gestures and shouts.
"Daddy, I don't want to go to school! I want to stay with you!"
"Lilith, stop being so spoiled! you need to learn to act like a human! I can't teach you that!"
"No! Humans are stupid!~"
Lilith shows her tongue to Jim. Jim sighs as he understands that he is the one who raised her this way.
"You do know, you were once a human right?"
"Blah, don't remind me, daddy!~" she has a disgusted expression on her face.
Jim remembers Elisabeth. He kneels on one leg and pats Lilith's head. She closes her eyes and starts smiling.
"Look, Lilith. Some humans are kind and worthy to befriend!
Lilith looks at him with doubt in her eyes, then she starts playing with her purple hair.
"Humans will hate me!"
"Why?"
"Because I hate humans. Blah! They are stupid!"
She once again shows him her tongue. Then the two of them notice a boy walking past them. Something about him was mysterious. This got Lilith's and Jim's attention.
"Daddy, who is he?"
Jim feels no malice from him, no. Actually, he feels nothing from him. Only sadness. Jim looks at the boy and wonders what is wrong with the boy. He inspects his memories.
The boy was royalty from a foreign kingdom. A young boy awakened his magic at the young age of 9 years. He could have been a kingdom's prodigy if not for awakening the elements that the kingdom considers evil. Darkness, curse, and necromancy. Since ancient times the Sundom kingdom worshipped elements that are considered part of the light, and resent the ones that come from darkness.
"How should I know, dear? I don't know every human that exists on this planet!"
Jim smiles as he pats her head. Lilith keeps staring at the boy, as she was intrigued by the feeling he gave her. The boy was the first human she ever met that had no malice at all. No matter how pure a human was, he or she always has a drop of malice. But this one had none. The same thing attracted even Jim's attention.
"Daddy, can that boy be my friend?"
"Huh? Huh?!?"
"D-daddy?"
Jim became really excited. This was the first time she ever showed an interest in a human. And since this human boy had no malice within him, he was just like Elisabeth. The only human he ever loved. No. Loves. He kneels, puts his hand on her shoulders, and smiles.
"Of course he can. Just befriend him!"
"H-how?"
To this question, Jim had no answer as he himself never had a chance to befriend anyone. Even as a human, the only person he befriended was Elisabeth. And even that was by her initiation.
"Uh, just talk to him. Go on."
"Yes! I will do my best!"
Lilith runs up to him and tries to say hello. But when the boy notices her attempt he says
"Please, don't talk to me!"
"H-huh? Huh?!? Fine!"
She get's so angry, tears start flowing down her cheek. The boy starts feeling guilty, but he says nothing else to her and walks away.
When she runs to him, she hugs Jim and cries. Jim gets shocked and dissatisfied. But there's nothing he can do about it. He knows that there's no way of forcing someone to be a friend. There's no help, if she wants to befriend him, she has to work hard. After all, this boy has no friends, and he is powerless. Jim goes to talk with a principal tho to put them into the same class.
*Exactly one hour later in the classroom*
"Class, let me introduce a new transfer student… "
Lilith was looking around the class and finds the boy that got her attention. She frowns and walks towards the boy who sits near him.
"H-hey, Lilith? You need to introduce yourself!"
The boy seeing that Lilith came to him blushes and smiles. Lilith points her finger at him and frowns.
"You! This is my seat now. Get lost."
"H-huh?"
"Did you not hear of what I just said?"
Lilith gets angry. Malice within humans always made her angry. Even the small amounts. However, when she felt the malice within the boy grow towards her after she came to him, she got even angrier. Her eyes grow cold and shine in gold. The teacher sees that and hurriedly tries to calm the situation down. She knows that Lilith's background is a powerful one, and she herself is an anomaly on the level that can rival the strongest people in this kingdom.
"Christopher, go find another seat!"
"H-HUH? But teacher!"
"Do you want me to call your parents?"
"Tsk."
Christopher stands up and walks towards the only seat available, the seat near the window. Lilith shows a smug expression towards the boy that she was interested in. But he just smacks his lips and turns his head away from her.
"Tsk."
Lilith was at a loss for words. This damn human dares to humiliate her like that! Not a chance! He WILL be her friend.
So during the time for the class, she kept annoying the poor boy.
"What's your name?"
"..."
"What's your name?"
"..."
"What's…"
"Teacher, she keeps talking! And I know you saw that, why don't you stop her?!?"
The teacher did see Lilith talking, however, there's nothing she can do about it. The principal warned her that she is to be treated like royalty. No. Even with bigger respect. Whoever this girl and her father are if the fight between her and some royalty breaks out. Always take her side. She is more important than royalty. 'What a headache'
"Shut up Lucas. You're in the class."
"H-Huh?"
"Hehe."
Lilith got a smug expression on her face. She kept staring at Lucas, who was now red from the embarrassment.
Lucas didn't want to have anything to do with this girl. He knew, that if he gets close to her. She might become a target of bullying, or worse… The target of his former family. That's why he swore to himself, that he will never have any friends.
He leaned on the table and closed his eyes. Suddenly he felt that someone keeps poking his waist. He giggles, as he was ticklish.
"Hihi."
"Oh?"
Suddenly, Lilith gets a naughty expression on her face. As she begins to tickle the poor boy.
