"Need a hand?"
The other guards looked above, a silver-haired lady, wearing a military hat sitting on a treetop. Looking down upon them with her cold silver eyes. Aiden wanted to look above but his hands were busy on the hostage. But the language she was speaking and with that accent.
'she is speaking English…a foreigner?' Aiden thought. But this wasn't time for questions. Call it luck from the heavens or plans of the devil, he needed to take this opportunity.
"yes! A hand would be very helpful!" Aiden shouted. His English dialect, being fluent to perfection.
After his words, she didn't need to say any further. As one by one, people started appearing around the whole cherub squad.
The long-eared armored people who called themselves cherubs didn't need to learn anything to understand what they were saying. All of them, heaved out their force, as their eyes glowed white with their armor shining blue. Their eyes, cautious of their surroundings. Yes, they were strong. Much stronger than even the group of those pebbled humans. But even the herd of weak buffalos can kill a lion. And that was what happening. As the number of humans appearing around them wasn't slowing down.
"your orders, captain!" Called out a human from the bushes. His hand tightly gripping an AK47 on his hand.
Aiden was practically speechless. Seeing the number of people around him. All of them with their gray soldier outfit. He didn't require to look twice, to know everyone was a foreigner. What was more surprising was that every single one of them. Felt strong. And a couple, bunch among them gave a dangerous aura of their own. Which could even tackle with Akia. Who he thought was the second strongest after him.
'but…she is more dangerous.' Aiden thought. Feeling a massive force equal to him, from the tree above.
The old cherub gritted his teeth. As he was their commander. His soldiers were staying steady, waiting for his orders. His sky-blue eyes looked around, with a hint of shine.
'69….thats quite a lot of them. And some of them are already titled ones from Ymir. Haaaa…..damn her! and I can't use my full power with this level of 'force' in the air…..'
"haaa…..we give!" shouted the old one. "just leave my daughter."
"you leave her first!" Aiden shouted.
The old cherub gritted his teeth. Lowering the knife on Akia's neck. And the moment he did. The one who he thought as a fragile girl, swiped away from his hands with a familiar glow around her body.
'what! Holy Force?!' he thought in shock.
And he wasn't alone, all the guards and the blond lady herself were shocked speechless. But the old cherub didn't show his surprise all too long.
"I followed, now it's your turn!"
"….ok."
"wait!" said the captain, landing right beside Aiden. "are you dumb, this is our chance. To know more. To understand more about this accursed world…. We are taking her as a hostage." She ordered. Riling up her forces.
"wait what!" Aiden asked.
"Men! Attack!" she ordered right away.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!....
The metal bullet rained upon the nine guards like rain. And the captain didn't hold back, taking out her mini-missile launcher. On her shoulder.
"taste the power of humanity." She bellowed.
Bong!
A clear aim wasn't required as the old cherub was near enough and at a feasible distance where the aftereffect of the explosion wouldn't reach her. With her years of experience, she was indeed right.
BOOM!!
The clear and violent fire only reached half her way as the old one was engulfed in raging flame.
"you idiot!" Aiden shouted. Leaving the Lady cherub be. "you only fueled it more!"
She didn't take the lad's word in heed. Watching her men firing the nine armored men with heavy ammo. 'wait…'
Finally realizing. She was staggered. To not see a single one of them fall. And her eyes weren't fooling her when she couldn't see a single scratch on their armor. 'what's happening…?'
"you dishonorable insects…" growled the old cherub within the flame. His body, slowly rising from the still-burning fire.
"no…." said the captain in shock. "not a single scratch?"
The old cherub rose to a suitable height. Looking down on all the humans with his blistering blue eyes. A halo gradually, forming above his head.
"here I was thinking to lower the causalities as much as possible and you would think the same….as your petty species was on the line of extinction. But I guess I was wrong." He said, taking out his long and thick sword. Raging with holy force.
Not only him. The nine guards raged their holy force. A wave of transparent aura leaking out from their whole body. So much so, it created a clast of wind. Stronger enough to force most of the humans to take a step back.
"Now it's our turn….Attack!"
Aiden was right. The amount of force he felt within the old cherub was indeed exorbitant. And now after he released what was inside. He now knew they were now totally fucked.
'and here I was glad that I found more people.' He thought. Tapping his force within.

His golden hair glowed, waving like it was out of gravity's leash. As his golden eyes shone a bit brighter.
[body strengthening skill activated.]
[flash skill activated]
He looked at the old one's eyes. His 'fear inducement skill' battling his blood lust. So much so that, tiny sparkles of friction started appearing between them.
'system how much time do I have?' he asked. Already feeling his force deplete at a high degree.
[CP Plummeting at an alarming rate. 25 seconds remaining. Until zero CP is reached.]
'haaa….lets do this!'
The old man felt his power, surprised at how he gained such force being a simple human.
Clank!
"you intrigue me human…." Said the old cherub. His halo glowing a bit brighter as their sword clashed with one another. "but sadly I will have to kill you for laying your hands on my daughter's neck."
"….we can still not resort to fighting. I left your daughter be. So stop this." Aiden said. His right leg swinging at his face.
Bang!
The old felt the impact on his hand, trying to guard his face. "such strength. You could even defeat my men but no. you lot chose blood over honor. And punishment shall be delivered with our hands. That is our code. That is our way. No matter the casualties we suffer."
While a devastating war was ensuing. Between the many men and cherubs, the captain's focus was only on one man. Who was clashing with the monster who could literally fly and smash rocks and trees into oblivion? Others couldn't see them properly with their high pace fight. But her eyes could. Her eyes glaring him as she garbed the handle of a light spear from the armored lady before her.
"so, he was the one…." she said.
