Droplets of tears fell to the ground as a young boy looked through the mirror. Veins bulged from his forehead as tears made their way from his sleep-deprived eyes to the sink.
"Just need a little more time. I can do this.. for you," he said as his arm caressed the clear mirror.
Eventually, his face which was in anguish changed to an expression of anger as his other hand gripped the sink, partially breaking it.
He snapped out of it once he saw the blood drizzle down his hand.
'I have to get ready. This month is gonna be a big one.' he said as he walked out of the washroom.
He took a few minutes on deciding what to wear and another few to wear them. He wore a white shirt and a vest to accommodate it as well as black pants and shoes. He was a 5'4 fifteen-year-old boy, so his clothes were not that big.
'Ban..dages. I need to get someone to buy some.' he thought as he wrapped a tissue around his hand to cover the wound from breaking the sink.
Exiting his house, we walked along the streets. Unlike dimensions xxv, the roads in this dimension were fully developed for the driving of vehicles. Some rode hover bikes and cars. While the buildings themselves were built from brick and most had more than a single floor.
While walking, many people who saw the boy decided to greet him. He put on a warm smile as he did the same.
"OH MY GOD! It's Morgan junior!" A lady who saw him overreacted. She ran across the road, just to meet him face-to-face.
"I am a big fan of what your parents did!" She yelled as her heart began to beat at abnormal rates.
"Liar.." he whispered, dropping his smile.
"I'm truly sorry for making you repeat, what did you say? Was that a yes? I can get your autograph?" She said with a facial expression showing an abundance of pleasure which disgusted not only him but everyone around.
"Sure... just look before you cross the road next time." He said trying his best to weave a smile. Taking a marker from his pocket, he scribbled on her forehead before walking away to his destination.
"THANK YOU SO MUCH! I WILL NEVER WASH MY FOREHEAD AND CARRY THIS SIGNATURE FOREVER!" She yelled with glee.
Only if she could see what was on her forehead, then she would notice it was not a signature but rather the drawing of the food he was craving this morning.
Finally, he arrived at a skyscraper that seemed tall enough to reach the heavens. Going inside, he was once greeted by various people as he walked by. Eventually, his smile dropped as the greetings continued.
'Disgusting. All of these people!' He sighed as he took the elevator to the top floor.
Arriving on the top floor, he headed to the only room there was. Opening the door, seven people were standing near the walls.
"Good morning, young master!" They greeted in unison.
Nodding his head, he sat on the only chair in the room which had a wooden disk in front of it.
"What happened to your hand." A woman asked upon quickly noticing.
"Do not pay any attention to it. Just a minor injury. Anyways, I called you here to continue the same tradition my father had with you before every tournament. Before that Ray, what happened to Larry?"
"Unfortunately, no bounty hunters claimed his head before we got there but we managed to deal with him. Luckily for us, we found a divine beast so there was no need for the abundance of magic beasts we smuggled," he spoke. He was the same masked man who had fought Kevin.
"That's good to hear, I hate traitors. And yes, I was surprised by the three-tailed fox you delivered. Our plans will commence smoothly with it. However, I still have a use for the magic beasts we have." The young master said.
He looked around at the seven people. He took a deep breath before speaking.
"ALRIGHT, EXECUTIVES REPORT!" Morgan junior yelled.
Ray, the sword man who fought Kevin, placed a bundle of papers in front of the young male.
"I will begin then." A man at the end of the wall spoke. "Executive G reporting! We have invited two big players into this tournament. One of them is a black magic user, Narumi. His black magic type is shadow magic. As for his race, he is a Depite, which are known for their natural ability to get stronger as they receive more damage.
And his feats, he joined the association at the age of twelve and is a core member of the fourth division. Rumors of him joining have already spread and as such spectators have already claimed him to be the next winner." Executive G gave a detailed report.
"I will be going next then. Executive F reporting! This is the second big player, he is a lightning magic user. Prince Michael Gale. He will be competing along with his brother prince Kurtz and sister princess Sarah.
He comes from a kin of dragons, namely the lightning dragon, Ziggy. Trained nonstop from the age of four, he is indeed a powerhouse. Most records of him and his siblings are classified. Although he also has a heavy fan base." She explained.
"Can he perform a partial dragon transformation?" Morgan inquired.
"We are not sure." She responded.
"Haha, imagine not knowing that." Executive E laughed but immediately stopped after seeing the young master's glare.
"Executive E reporting! I'm sad to say but this one is quite normal. It's lady Hinari from the succubus race who uses black magic. Her black magic type is seduction magic."
Hearing this everyone, sighed at once. This was because her being from the succubus race meant one thing. That all her fans were beta males and the only reason she was voted likely to win was because of her horny fans. For the succubus race, their supporters are not called fans. They are known as simps.
"I do not even want to hear that, move to the next one." Morgan sighed.
"Ha, that's embarrassing." Executive F mocked executive E.
"Executive D reporting! We have Troit! Although he is not considered likely to win, he is highly likely to take third place. He comes from a race of dwarves and uses earth magic. His feats are indeed impressive, his durability makes him one of the hardest enemies to defeat." He said shouting out extremely loud.
"Do you have to be that obnoxious!" Executive E said, covering her ears.
Hearing this, the young boy nodded. This tournament sounded like it was going to be a grand one. Bigger than any hosted by his parents.
"This seems promising. And these people were added by invitation. Hopefully, those who sign up show promise as well. I know that executives A to C were out on missions, so you could not send invitations. However, I'm curious. Did you meet anyone of interest during the mission?"
"Nah." Executive B, responded.
"Hey! Some respect!" Executive D shouted from the top of his lungs.
"Stop being so loud moron!" Executive E scolded.
"I did!" Executive C said.
Everyone looked towards the black-haired man, expecting him to tell what he knows.
"Well?" Executive E asked, expecting an answer.
"Oh, you wanted me to continue? I met her in dimension xxv, she even managed to push me back a bit in a fight a bit. She was a wind user and her name was Lilith. I'm unsure of her race and whether she would be competing." Marcus explained.
"To be able to push an executive back? Indeed impressive! However, her lack of participation is a slap in our face!" Executive D yelled with vigor.
"No! it is not and for the love of God, shut up!" Executive F was losing her patience with this idiot.
"What about you Executive A?"
Ray stood in silence as he recalled his fight with Kevin. He traveled to every dimension and this day had never seen a living creature with a black-and-white aura. He bore a smile as he remembered their fight.
"Nobody of interest."
With the reports given, Morgan junior stood up from his chair. A tear fell from his eye as he looked at the seven executives.
"I am going to miss this, with all of you." he let out heartfelt words.
"What are you talking about? We are with you to the end!"
"That's indeed true!"
As they all gave words of encouragement, one thought roamed around the young master's head.
'Liars, all of you!'
Wearing a fake smile, he pressed a button on his table.
"Let's have fun during this tournament!" He said earning smiles from his executive as he wore a wide smile.
After pressing the button, the walls raised, showing a laboratory. There one could see a three-tailed fox with many mini tubes injected into it. It was sitting in a pool of its blood
as its cries resounded in the room.
'Let the games begin!'
