"Is it about the witch?" Lenora asked Serene even before she could take a sip of her coffee.
Serene almost choked on her drink when she heard her words.
"I may not have seen the world you have seen, but I am no fool to understand how it works. Witches do nothing for free. She must have asked for some repayment. That must have involved me. Right, Lady Elisaveta?" Lenora asked with a smile as she stared at her.
Serene was surprised at the start. But she shook her head again. Lenora's brains were something praised by the people across the seas. Her expression turned neutral at her words.
"You are right with everything. But why did you guess it has something to do with you?" Serene asked. She has an answer but she wanted to hear it from Lenora's mouth.
"If it doesn't concern me, you wouldn't be here, My Lady," Lenora said with a smile.
"Hmmm," Serene responded.
