Chapter 19 - Departing

The etiquette teacher looked towards the sky when she noticed Lenora yawning. The sun was peeking out of the mountains as it started to shoot its orange and yellow rays in the sky. Such a shame, that a vampire cannot enjoy the sky.

"Princess, you may leave." the etiquette teacher said.

"Ms, when shall I come tomorrow," Lenora asked.

"Hmm… I need to talk with the Honorable Queen Mother before calling you. I will send someone to inform you about the status," The Etiquette teacher said.

Lenora nodded her head, while doing so another yawn escaped her mouth which she covered with the back of her hand. The etiquette teacher chuckled at Lenora.

"A point in Etiquette classes is to sleep as much as you can so that you can look beautiful for the next day," the teacher said.

Lenora nodded and left the room. Celine was already waiting for her at the entrance.

"My Lady, shall we return now?" Celine asked, bowing her head.

Lenora nodded at her. Again a yawn left her mouth. Lenora had used her Vampire abilities and sprinted to her room. She stripped her clothes and left her in a thin inner garment before falling onto the bed.

But she forgot to have her dinner. For that very reason, Celine woke her up and bugged her till Lenora woke up. She had her food before she slumped back to sleep again.

Four days passed quickly….

Lenora finished her etiquette classes. Meanwhile, Eudora made the royal tailor stitch clothes for Lenora. She also bought many golden ornaments for herself.

In the past four days, the tailors, the goldsmiths, and the shoemakers were the busiest. They were busy making clothes for the royal palace. Due to the tight time, everything was done hastily. But all outfits still turned out okay.

"My Lady, you need to put this bracelet on," Lady Celine said with a bright smile.

"Lady Celine, I already look good. I don't need it," Lenora said. Lenora felt frustrated due to the thick layers of her gown. And now again these extra ornaments… She doesn't want to carry too much weight.

"Lady Celia, please help the princess with this bracelet. I will get her shoes," Lady Celine turned towards Lady Celia.

Tonight the Royal Vampires were leaving for the Werewolf Kingdom. And Lenora was hell-bent on refusing her maids to help her with dressing. Whatever they offered, she would immediately turn them down. Lady Celine and Lady Celia have no choice but to step forward and 'help' her with dressing.

After Lady Celia and Lady Celine got Lenora dressed up, they nodded their heads in satisfaction.

"We missed the hat, Lady Celia," Lady Celine pointed.

"What!?" Lenora asked in surprise.

"My hair has enough pins. I don't want a hat." Lenora tried to argue.

"My Lady, Please be seated," Lady Celine said.

"I don't want a hat," Lenora whined like a child.

"The Queen Mother will arrive in a few minutes. Please be seated," Lady Celine.

Lenora complained under her breath that Celine and Celia were being too cold-hearted with her. But the two ladies in waiting just smiled at her childishness and said nothing.

Lenora didn't have any official maids. Because she was in the Vampire kingdom, Eudora assigned a few temporary maids from her wing. And now they would return to Eudora. Eudora wasn't assured that Lenora wouldn't pull any tricks. So, she sent Celia to check on things from time to time.

After they were done fixing the hat into her hair, they guided Lenora to the carriage and helped her get in. Lenora was surprised to see Eudora in her carriage. Nevertheless, she greeted her stiffly and stayed silent for the rest of the journey.

Eudora compelled a few humans to be the Vampires' carriage riders. So that they wouldn't need to halt the journey when the sun was up. Soon enough, they reached the Werewolf kingdom.

Lenora looked at the enormous palace in front of her. The Palace was lit up with lights, brighter than she'd seen in pictures due to the dark contrast of the night sky.

She took a deep breath as she looked ahead. This would be her home after a week. And a new chapter would start in her life.

They were greeted by the groom's mother and guided to the rooms that were arranged for them. They were informed that there would be a banquet where both the kingdoms would meet each other and seal the deal officially. And both the bride and groom would meet there for the first time.

Lenora removed the heavy accessories and decided to think about the hero of her life or maybe the villain, tomorrow. But as of now, she needed to sleep. Because she had just had a three days journey and she was extremely tired. Her body needed rest now.
