Up to this very day, Martin still terrifies Sarah to the core.
Her knees are quivering, her hands trembling. The sound of his voice pierces straight through her skin, but she tries not to show it. She focuses on gathering herself together instead, knowing quite well that giving into fear is exactly what he wants her to do.
"What do you want?" Sarah asked firmly, and Martin smirked haughtily.
In each passing heartbeat, her apprehension grows immensely. She attempts to walk past him and step back onto the sidewalk, but he refuses to allow her. He keeps blocking her path, which gets her anger soaring.
"Could you move out of the way? I don't have time to mess with you-"
"Do you have any idea what your wench of a mother did to me?"
She did not answer Martin. But he knows that Sarah understood.
