After which Akira was done with the date, he roamed through the south of Celesta hoping to find something to clear his head. The monsters were surprisingly vacant, it was as Kamui once said, all the warriors remained here to protect Celesta and doubled the security than ever.
Akira did not sense any dangers nearby, believing it was already dealt by the warriors. It was of no wonder why the warriors, soldiers, and even the knights were very vigorous.
Akira was on the very top of a building then he sensed Gakuto's presence before he could even pat his shoulder to surprise him.
"How was it with Lilith?"
Akira began to sat down and relaxed himself after Lilith's family disputes. "Family problems, it was a short moment, but I don't know about her..."
"Well, that's the risk of a family. It happens commonly, we fight, we love, we cherish, and we die. Families are easy to be created, but it's hard to hold them down together. It's probably best that we leave Lilith alone before celebrating her birthday."
Gakuto smiled while patting Akira's back, sitting down with him.
Akira looked at Gakuto's face, he was filled with the experience of a true family. It was visible on how he talked and thought.
"You must've had a wonderful family in the Raishoun gang..." Akira smiled in relief.
"Anyways, remember when I initially invited you to my place to play video games?" Gakuto stood up and reminded Akira.
"Oh, that. What about it?"
"Let's play, you and me."
"Okay..." Akira chuckled.
As Akira and Gakuto went to Gakuto's home, an unexpected was happening in where Kazuya was at.
"Ugh, my back's been hurting ever since that fight... Hmm...? The Mikadzuki?"
Kazuya was eavesdropping a Mikadzuki who was in a shady restaurant, eating their foods.
Meanwhile, Akira and Gakuto were playing video games on Gakuto's television using a game console named "GameZ". The game they played was an RPG game, battling monsters to gain exp, invading dungeons, and getting stronger, similar to the real world. Akira played as an assassin while Gakuto played as a tank. The name of the game was "Dungeon Ruler"
While balanced in attack and defensive tactics, Akira was stubborn in his role as an assassin as he kept facing the enemy devoid of stealth. It made Gakuto reflexively facepalm.
"Akira, man, you shouldn't be spamming attacks at your opponents. Learn how to defend and dodge for once. It's a bad gamer habits." Gakuto scolded Akira for spamming too much of the attack buttons instead of relying on defenses.
Much like how Akira did in his fighting experience, defense was none of his concerns and dodging was the only thing he mastered after his training with Kamui.
Akira began mashing the buttons stubbornly, knowing his character was weak in defense but kept mashing buttons until his opponents had died.
Fortunately, they won stage 1 and passed on stage two.
Gakuto raised both his eyebrows, "So you're that type of player, huh? Speaking of player, games also help you realize what type of person you are. Either you are a strategist, overly cautious, stubborn, and many else."
Akira replied with a chuckle, "Heh, being reckless is always kinda my thing. Maybe once I'm experienced enough, I'll get through that negative habits."
Gakuto nodded with a light chuckle, "Hope so."
After finishing a few rounds of the game, Akira curiosity peaked, questioning how Gakuto joined the Raishoun gang with the other members.
"Our group isn't that strong in quantities. In fact, our qualities makes up for the quantities. And about how I met... Hmm... Oh, I was once a Soldier. You know, an army filled with advanced war technologies?"
Akira was taken aback after hearing such unpredictable background jobs from Gakuto.
From how he viewed, Gakuto could actually make a good Warrior, but to his surprise that Gakuto was an ex-soldier.
"Doubt me? I have my badge and everything. And how we met... Well, let's just say he helped me through fights as I was cornered by criminals."
"I was the first member to join, the second is Kazuya. The third is Yeru, and last is Lilith. But the story is pretty long, so quite unnecessary... But if you're that curious, I'll tell you then."
[Back in the early days...]
In the early days of the Raishoun gang, when it consisted of just one member, Yeru, who defied his brother's wishes to avoid trouble, he embarked on a quest to find a sense of belonging and a companion with whom he could truly connect.
Traversing the vast lands of Celesta, determined to expand his gang's ranks, Yeru eventually encountered Gakuto in a dire situation, bravely facing off against seventy criminals on his own.
Yeru swiftly intervened, utilizing his wax magic in tandem with Gakuto's formidable vibration magic.
Impressed by Yeru's skills, Gakuto expressed his gratitude, "You're an impressive fighter. Are you a warrior?"
"I am. Hey, you're not bad yourself. How about joining forces with me and becoming a part of my gang?"
Gakuto, appearing skeptical with his arms crossed and raised eyebrows, responded, "I have no interest in joining a gang. However, your recruitment approach could use some refinement. Work on your social finesse."
Yeru chuckled sheepishly, "Hehe, sorry. This is my first attempt at recruiting anyone..."
Dismissing the awkward moment, Gakuto remarked casually, "No offense, you just need to socialize bett-."
Their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a deafening explosion originating from a nearby skyscraper. Reacting swiftly, they sprang into action as the building teetered on the brink of collapse. With the help of 15 warriors, they worked tirelessly to rescue all those in danger.
Yeru skillfully used his wax magic to cushion the falls of the endangered individuals and tried to prevent the massive debris from harming innocent bystanders. Meanwhile, Gakuto unleashed his amplified vibration magic into the air, disintegrating the rubble and creating an invisible shield to shield them from the cascading fragments.
"Why there's always explosion happening everywhere and everyday!? Huh?"
Gakuto who was protecting the civilians, surprised by the appearance of a young masked man. He was the one who caused the mess, and then...
After a long conversation with Gakuto, Akira decided to end the backstory abruptly as he sensed something from afar. Kazuya's presence was felt, but there was this strange glow he could not perceive it...
...A light of mystery.
Akira gulped his danger sense awkwardly didn't sense danger but sensed a greater danger like some sort of malfunction, "There's someone... Kazuya is in danger!"
