"The blade of the damned, as always, cursed with massive negative energy. I always wonder how you could hold such a blade, Master." Kamui muttered as he hold the blade and appeared to be struggling to harness its power.
The blade, like the "Tsuba: The Katana's Sword Guard," had a purple scabbard and was engraved with a demon visage. It generated terrifying energy in the form of a purple aura mixed with a black aura that floated in the air like gas once it was opened. Only a strong-willed bearer, according to Kamui, could hold the energy. If it was the weak who held it, they would be cursed to death, and by means, any death could happen.
Kamui occupied both of his hands and used the two-swords style.
Yeru and Akira were assigned to seek the ring while Kamui dealt with Esya'r alone.
Akira and Yeru could immensely feel Kamui's aura had become fiercer and his power increased by a large margin.
Yeru teleported with Akira after nodding and patting his shoulder. Without a single human within miles, Kamui whirled at breakneck speed, cleaning the entire island's woodland clean. He jumped before his assault impacted Esya'r, knowing how deadly the harm could be.
The blade entirely eliminated the bodies of the trees. With the help of his new blade, Kamui became significantly more powerful. Esya'r saw a demon within that blade, as well as the souls who died as it shouted in an incomprehensible voice.
Esya'r cocked his head with a grin on his face and eagerness in his eyes. Esya'r jumped into the combat without hesitation. Both Kamui and Esya'r clashed and a massive shockwave occurred by the force of the collision.
The thunderous sound left many warriors from afar noticing its frightening might. Both were experiencing a hellish fun fight with eachother as they showed their smiles close.
After their blades collided, they swung in unison, smashing repeatedly until the entire island disintegrated. After each fell apart during the fight, they exchanged islands and devastated three islands. Their speeds were difficult to detect with the naked eye or even a skilled observer.
Each strike left an explosive sound that would destroy those who were near. Even a tiny rock could not bear a millimeter near them and would obliterate to powder due to the proximity of their collisions. They moved like teleporters, blitzing here and there as they wreaked catastrophic destruction, and time seemed to slow down for them. They moved too quickly, passing from one island to another in a matter of nanoseconds or less than that, leaving only a glimpse of their fight in their wake.
They continued without exhaustion as almost five islands were destroyed by them. Kamui was on the verge of victory as Esya'r was going to be defeated. Kamui ended the clash of their fights and threw a slash at Esya'r.
[GATSURYU-OUGI: TRI-SLASH]
Kamui then launched an attack at Esya'r with a slash. Esya'r was prepared to avoid it, but it had divided into three slashes in the middle of the trajectory, making it impossible for Esya'r to avoid it. Blood, skin, and bones vanished from his right leg once the slash passed through it.
Esya'r knew his slash could destroy anything, but the way his magic operated made him unpredictable. Swapping with objects, duplicating himself with a mirrored clone, wiping an entire existence, bending space, and maybe causing a catastrophic explosion were all possibilities.
Esya'r acknowledged that he was the most powerful opponent he had ever faced.
Esya'r was forced to kill him right away after learning that he was the only one who could stop everything in his way. He had to annihilate him with everything he had, no matter what the circumstances were. As the ground began to shake from the powering up, Esya'r tightened his grip on his blade and his mana from around his body began to surge brightly. Esya'r regenerated his leg and praised Kamui.
"Most impressive, most impressive! I acknowledge your strength as far greater than mine. Without a doubt, you are one of the most powerful opponents I have ever faced, Kamui Hirohito." Esya'r's power had risen, and Kamui sensed it. Despair combined with wrath boosted Esya'r's strength.
Esya'r suddenly sent a wind slash and Kamui avoided it, it almost hit him and severed a little section of his hair. The slash then sliced a mountain after it missed.
His slash became more powerful as Kamui saw that the slash had changed since Esya'r's tornado strike. It was comparable to his ability in that it would tear the object's existence apart.
The slash caused a molecular level of destruction. There was a strong pressure of extremely small winds around the slash inside. Because it moved so quickly, Kamui scarcely noticed it.
Kamui took a deep breath and moved away from Esya'r. Kamui took a posture with his legs wide open and struck a pose. With his blade facing to the left, he raised his right hand above his head. His left hand was lifted to the level of his chest, with his blade facing Esya'r.
"Your last stance, I see. Very well." Both of his blades were united, reverting to their former form as twin blades.
Esya'r's blade whirled as swiftly as a propeller. The blade spun fast in the wind, giving the impression that it had vanished. His legs were in the same position as Kamui's.
Kamui's muscles hardened as he began to tense every muscle in his limbs. The right blade whirled around in front of him, while the left moved back behind him. As Esya'r swirled his blade at breakneck speed, the wind became increasingly strong.
Kamui slowly let out his breath and announced his move.
"Gatsuryu... Dan!"
With a leap forward, Esya'r launched his attack. Before Esya'r came close, Kamui thrust his left blade and erased Esya'r from existence. Esya'r was entirely obliterated. As was everything in front of him, including the ocean, the island's ground, and any object that was near Kamui's strike. Esya'r was dead. No trace of his body remained in this world as if he was reduced to nothing.
Kamui paused before lowering his left blade, "The Shinigami."
Kamui received a lot of damage on his last attack. For a brief while, he was unable to move his left arm, which began to hurt excruciatingly as the seconds passed. Shinigami put a strain on the user by draining their life energy and mana in order to develop even more strength, which was why Kamui suffered so much. Not only that, but Gatsuryudan also cost Kamui a lot of mana because the blow had such a broad range. Kamui rested and handed the mission to Akira and Yeru as they were about to arrive at the jade.
