After they had made it to Sazoru's headquarters, Volts gave his phone to Sazoru to show the picture that he took back from the mission.
Sazoru looked into it and was baffled by reading these texts. Sazoru hoped that the intel center could translate this. If they couldn't, then the king would be their last choice.
"You've done a great job! Plus, we have news about what happened to the criminal. It turned out, he had been inflicted by a curse, an advanced one." Sazoru explained that the criminal died cause of a curse that was put on them.
One of the Mikadzuki's members put a curse on the person who used smoke magic, so he was unable to speak any of the secretive questions. He believed this was the cause of his attaining the main ability in a forbidden way.
Akira looked all over the place, trying to find Rozori. He then asked Sazoru where was Rozori.
Sazoru answered that he was on a mission to kill the remaining orcs and goblins that invaded the city before. The portal gun that they brought in was troublesome to take care of, as it could open a gate through realms. This was also why they needed to know how the Mikadzuki could summon monsters. Obviously, they were trying to tire all the warriors and made the city lower its guards.
"Any more questions?" Sazoru asked, and they all stood silently without any questions.
"Very well..." Sazoru then dismissed them all.
Akira and Volts turned the opposite way and walked separately. Akira went to his room and sat on his bed whilst Volts was leaning against the wall, viewing the city through the window.
Akira resumed his activities in his room: 1,000 push-ups, squats, sit-ups, pull-ups, and lifting two 100 kg dumbbells.
Suddenly, An earthquake occurred mysteriously...
The grounds were shaking, making the warriors lose their balance.
A massive explosion occurred.
The explosion wave shattered the window against which Volts was standing.
This alerted many warriors in the base, and the emergency alarm was rung and reported.
"Emergency! Celesta is under attack by some unknown creature! Repeat! An unknown creature has attacked the city. for all available warriors, please help to save the city." The call ended.
Akira left his training and went to the danger in a rush and Volts did the same...
But suddenly, they were stopped by an incoming voicemail.
"Akira... Kazoru... Wherever you are, come out! We want your head! For those who are willing to help, I'll pay you a price of 50,000 Gols for each person who helps. In a condition that you have them in return." The voicemail announced that he would give 50,000 Gols to the person who brought Akira and Kazoru.
Akira crossed paths with Volts while listening to the voicemail.
"Wait, he's chasing after you!" Volts stopped Akira from going into danger.
"I don't care, I'm going there!" Akira ignored his caution.
"I'm not letting you!" Volts replied to his answer.
[ELECTRICITY MAGIC: STUN GUN]
Volts used his electricity and immobilized Akira. "HEY, WHY DID YOU DO THAT FOR?" Akira yelled because of the unexpected move from him.
"I can't let them get to you, so stay here!" Volts defended Akira.
"AGGHHHH, DON'T YOU DARE!" Akira was trying to stop Volts from going but he already left.
Volts dashed to the danger zone and went outside from the base.
The havoc that the creature caused was severe, as the fire was spread all around the place.
Volts finally arrived and saw a hideous creature, 2x the size of him, whose height was only 178 cm.
"Oh, good evening, have you listened to my call? Where's Kazoru and Akira?" A man with neat black hair, a thick beard, glasses, and a lab coat, questioned Volts.
"Hmph, I'm not here for telling you, I'm here to put an end to this!" Volts answered out of his question.
"My, my, don't be in a hustle, I'm here for Akira and Kazoru. Have you seen them? I'd pay you wisely."
"I don't care."
"Look, you are a smart kid, so please, if you don't want to die, do as I told you!"
Volts let out his weapon and initiated his stance.
"Don't waste my time, I want Akira and Kazoru! I do not want you, so let me kill them instead of you. If you don't want to help, It's fine, just stay away from this. I'm warning you." The man showed a grin as he warned Volts's life was on the line.
"Over my dead body!" Volts attempted to shield Akira and Kazoru
"You must've had a death wish. Fine, I'll make use of you as a test for this magnificent creation and after that, I'll make your corpse my puppet. Kill him A-32!" The man ordered the creature, and the creature stepped forward.
He explained the name of his creation, called the "Metamorians." It was incomplete, but one day it will succeed in conquering and ruling the world.
[30,000 VOLTS]
Volts struck the metamorian with a nail spike, electrocuting it. The attack didn't budge an inch while I stood there, and there was no response.
With their extreme durability, the man laughed and asserted that it was impossible to kill them.
Volts didn't care and charged his attack even more
[50,000 VOLTS]
It didn't work again, the creature then took its turn to attack.
Its speed was very fast, compared to Akira, this creature was faster. The creature's knee kicked him in the stomach and he coughed up blood.
Volts wiped his blood then charged his electricity to his body and went for evasive tactics.
[ELECTRICITY MAGIC: SHOCK SPEED 20%]
Volts's speed was increased, but now his speed was 20% faster.
Volts appeared behind it and kicked it with a powerful blow, repelling the creature with the force of his kick. The Morian crashed into the building and was damaged.
The creature jumped and flickered behind Volts while he was in mid-air. Volts was taken aback and looked behind him. It then slammed its fist into his face with three times the force he gave it.
Volts suffered serious injuries, including a broken nose and bleeding on the forehead.
Volts struggled to stand up, however, he forced himself to stand up and jumped onto the building that the creature was on.
The man struggled to see him, desperately trying to fight the Morians. He told him to just surrender and leave so he wouldn't die as his last warning.
Volts ignored him while facing down, dripping blood from his face. He was weak, but his will stayed strong not wanting to give up. He spat his blood from his right and entered a starting position.
He charged up every last of his power and every drop of his mana. His electricity roared and cracked the ground. The electricity was intense as all electronics and lights were switched off and on repeatedly within a 500meter radius.
Quickly as a flash, he touched the morian's chest.
[120,000 VOLTS]
The electricity finally had an effect on the morian, burned it by electrocuting, and the man stayed away very far from him by using his hoverboard.
His high electricity overpowered Morian's durability and destroyed the whole structure he was standing on. Volts then hopped away to another building.
Tired and out of mana, he knelt. His last attack was a complete success and killed the morian. Volts triumphed over and the man applauded.
"Good, good, good! You actually managed to kill it with your last attack. I'm impressed." The man laughed.
"However, pity, this wasn't the only one I brought it here." He smirked with pity despite Volts' effort in killing it.
Another metamorian appeared while Volts was weak and vulnerable. Volts was frightened by the number of Metamorians there were. Not only one but more of them stand in front of his eyes.
"I'm terribly sorry for disappointing you. Even if all of your efforts were in vain, I did warn you, right? It's incredibly foolish of you to risk your life due to your intransigence. May this be your last day, then!" The man gave A-23, a metamorian, the command to execute him.
A-23 then opened its mouth and energy appeared from its throat, charging an energy blast that could kill Volts.
Volts exhaled with calmness without fear of death, accepting it...
