He escaped from the building and his eyes turned back to normal and get staggered as he fainted by the side if the road,he looked weak and frail with blood all over his body,that was when the mayor picked him up and dressed his wounds before adopting him and saving his life.
Ayden was grateful and he promised to pay him back and now the mayor wanted him to pay him back by getting engaged.
He would attend the engagement party but would never marry her,once he did attended the engagement party,he wouldn't owe the mayor anything else and would be free before leaving the house as he was an adult now and could stay alone without being supervised.
He suddenly thought about Alexa.
