The next day, Nicholas woke up to a warm body next to his. What was more, he didn't feel the smooth fur under his touch. What he felt was a supple skin; soft to the touch and the warmth was in direct contact of his fingertips. Nicholas opened his eyes wide and sat up straight to look at the person who was sleeping with him.
He was speechless. His hands trembled and his eyes couldn't move away from her. He wanted to touch her once again but he was afraid that it was all an illusion and that she'd disappear the moment he touches her. "Rina." He whispered and a lone tear escaped his eyes and fell on the back of his hand.
All he could think was the fact that she was there, lying on the same bed as him and in her human form as well. It took him a full minute to snap out of his swirling emotions and get off the bed to get a change of clothes for her. He can't let anyone see her nakedness.
