Nicholas spread his energy to see what got Damon leaving so early. Something must have happened which prompted him to go back soon. And as expected, Corrine was on her way.
Damon wanted to spend more time with Corrine but the latter hates the idea. Thus, Damon had no other way but to turn himself into a cat that she could pet.
Corrine came back with dejected expression. Dejected was already an understatement. Her eyes were red as well as the tip of her nose. On top of that, when she spoke, her voice sounded strange. It's obvious that she just cried. She looked heartbroken.
"What happened?" Sylvie asked when she opened the door and found her sister standing there as if the world just collapsed and crumbled.
"Damien."
