Leo continued, not giving the villagers time to react.
"You may refer to this being as Sogrith, he has sent me to your plain of existence in order to correct all the corruptness of mankind.
Those soldiers were looking for me, and if they would not have found me in your village they would have slaughtered you all without a care in the world." said Leo.
The villagers looked at Leo with shocked expressions.
"However, they will come back with more and slaughter you." followed Leo up.
He pretended to walk away but he quickly heard a familiar voice calling out to him.
"Please... Don't leave us to our fate! You said you would fight the corruptness!"
The voice belonged to Yasha, who was pleading Leo for help.
Leo turned around once again before speaking.
"There is one option, dedicate your life to the beliefs of the primordial being known as Sogrith, in return, he will grant you protection." said Leo.
Some villagers looked at Leo with a skeptical expressions on their face, but that was until they thought back at Leo shapeshifting, clearly displaying that he wasn't human at all. In the end, they had no choice but to believe him."
How do we dedicate our lives to him... We don't have to sacrifice anyone, right...?" asked Yasha in a scared voice in behalf of the villagers.
Leo let out a chuckle as he responded.
"No sacrifice is needed, I will teach you how to establish a link with it in a second, once you are linked with it you will just have to pray to him and believe in his existence, in return he will bless you with powers just like me and protect your village, making sure you cannot be killed. However, you will have to believe in his goal as well, and that is exterminating the corrupt part of humanity, to establish a paradise on earth for those who are rightful." said Leo.
The villagers once again looked at Leo with skeptical expressions on their face.
Leo sighed as he dragged operatives One's body to the front of the crowd.
"Children, close your eyes." said Leo as he released the body.
"There is no military insignia or anything on his body, they are from a corporation that stops creatures and items that do not function by the laws of nature, creatures like me. They will stop at nothing in order to get me and they work on a global scale, saying that the death of these soldiers was a small loss for them would be an overstatement, it won't be long before they send new operatives. If you don't want to survive, go ahead, have it your way. I will take my leave, not my loss after all. The only way for you to survive is to dedicate yourself to Sogrith, choose your faith." said Leo
He gave the villagers a couple minutes to discuss as he sat down besides operative One's corpse.
After a couple of minutes Yasha approached Leo.
"Great on-"
"No need to call me that, I am just Leo." said Leo with a smile on his face.
"Leo, we have chosen to dedicate our lives to Sogrith, please instruct us how to link with him..." said Yasha with a fearful expression.
Leo stood up.
"Great let's get the binding ritual started." said Leo.
"Yasha, I will do it on you first." said Leo as he shapeshifted his finger into a small needle.
"I will need to draw some blood, do you mind?"
"No, it is alright..."
Leo lightly punctured Yasha's skin and drew a symbol on her palm, and repeated the progress for all the villagers.
After half an hour, all the villagers were marked.
"Next step and the final step, repeat the following sentence," said Leo as he spoke the sentence.
It sounded like random letters connected to each other and it took some people a while to do, but once they did so most of them either collapsed or held their heads very tight.
"Now, you have all been marked and linked with the primordial being Sogrith, Pray to him and execute his will and he shall bring you all salvation!"
