For some people, their anxiety doesn't come from thinking about the future but from wanting to control it.
So, if they want their anxiety to not run wild and disrupt their life, they just have to discard their wish of controlling the future.
Right now, an eighteen year old boy has to do this. He has to discard his wish of controlling the future.
Dreamer and Liberi were finally able to get inside the academy to attend the auction, after convincing the halfling John that they would not do anything funny inside.
But they still have to be cautious as, when they would steal the sword then it was very likely that they would get caught by the halfling John.
However, these things don't matter now, as the time to steal the sword hasn't come yet.
So, right now Dreamer and Liberi were inside the academy.
"It's huge! If this academy is this huge then how huge will be the God's and Demon's academy. One might get lost while roaming here." Dreamer exclaimed in a surprised voice. He was looking like a poor kid who just saw a big house for the first time.
But no one can blame Dreamer as the academy was indeed very grand. The hall was filled with many seats and there was a balcony too at the back and on the balcony, it was written 'VIPs only'. There was also a big stage placed in front of the seats. The stage was so big that it could allow ten thousand people to stand on it freely.
There were many people roaming inside the academy, some were just enjoying the view, some were just standing and laughing with their friends and some were just sitting on the seats doing nothing but waiting for the auction to start.
There were also some people on the VIP seats, they were wearing masks that entirely covered their face. All in all, the atmosphere inside the academy was very lively.
'Liberi, by looking at the atmosphere here, I think we should take a seat. If we keep on standing for long, then there is a risk of someone coming and starting a talk with us.' Dreamer suggested Liberi through his mind.
Dreamer and Liberi had already decided that they will only talk through their minds till this quest was completed.
'My lord, if we sit then what about my sword? How can we get it?' Liberi asked.
'Don't worry. As the sword is the main attraction of this auction and many people came here just for the sword so I am sure that the sword will be exhibited at the end. So, till then we can sit and I will tell you when to get up and move.' Dreamer explained Liberi.
'As you wish, my lord.'
'But, My lord. Where do we sit? We have to choose our seat very carefully as, if the principal saw me and recognised me then it would be all over.' Liberi showed his concern.
'Don't worry, just follow me.' Dreamer ordered Liberi and started moving.
Dreamer and Liberi were walking like carefree people. Dreamer was walking in front of Liberi while Liberi was just following Dreamer.
They walked past many people of many races. There were some Elves in golden clothes, some Ogres who were looking very strong, some dwarfs and some humans too.
The hall which was turned into the seating area for today was so big that after thirty minutes of walking Dreamer found the seat he was looking for.
He was looking for a seat that was close to the backstage door. Basically, he found a seat that was the last seat in the front row. And luckily there were two seats that were vacant.
'Those two seats. We are sitting there. Let's go!' Dreamer said while pointing towards the seats with his eyes.
'My lord, forgive my insolence of questioning your decision but don't you think if we sit in the first row then there is a chance of the principal recognising me?' Liberi questioned.
'No, it will not happen. First of all, those two seats are close to the backstage door which we eventually need to access at some point. And about the principal recognising you. Well, all I know is that the best way to remain hidden is to remain in the plain sight.' Dreamer answered Liberi's query.
'Now let's go! Before someone sits on our seats.' Dreamer said and started walking towards the seats.
'As you wish, My lord.' Liberi agreed and also started walking behind Dreamer.
After a few seconds Dreamer and Liberi got seated and waited for the auction to start.
Tung!
Tung!
Tung!
Soon, a bell rang loudly three times and everyone who was standing and chatting seated down and the doors to enter inside the academy got closed and now no one can enter inside the academy.
Dreamer and Liberi were also watching very intently and attentively towards the stage.
Soon, the door of the backstage opened beside Dreamer and a man in a black suit came out of the door and went to the stage right away.
The man who came out was of Argonian race, his skin was brown and he had gills like fish. He was very energetic and enthusiastic when he went to the stage.
"Hello and welcome! Ladies and Gentlemen. Today, the Duel Fencer Academy organized an auction. I bet you all are excited. We will present you with many items that you can buy. And of course, there is also a S rank sword which you can buy. So, are you ready!!?" The Argonian man announced.
"Yeahhh" The youngsters in the crowd replied energetically.
Clap!
Clap!
Clap!
While the others who were middle aged and old people just clapped with a smile on their face.
'So, he is the host. No wonder he is so energetic.' Dreamer amused in his mind.
"But, before starting the auction I would like you all to meet this academy's principal, Mr. Vrama Lascot!! Give him a warm welcome, everyone." The Argonian host announced.
'My lord!!' Liberi said worriedly.
'Yeah, yeah. I know. Let him come. Don't worry, he won't see you. But if you become worried like this then the halfling John will come for us again. So, keep calm, take a deep breath and adjust yourself.' Dreamer replied.
After Dreamer said this Liberi took a deep breath and stopped speaking.
Eventually, the door of the backstage opened again beside Dreamer and a man came out of the door.
He also went straight to the stage, not sparing a glance towards Dreamer and Liberi. The man who came out of the door was none other than the principal, Vrama Lascot.
'See, didn't I tell you.' Dreamer said to Liberi.
'Yes, my lord. You were right. Forgive me for questioning your decision.' Liberi apologized to Dreamer.
'Yeah, yeah. Now don't speak for a second. I want to see something.' Dreamer ordered Liberi as he decided to use his skill God's Eye on the principal.
The Argonian host was nervously taking out some papers from his pocket and the principal was just standing there smoking a cigarette with a smile.
The principal was wearing a white shirt and white pants and on top of the shirt he was wearing a green robe. He was also wearing red glasses which looked very expensive but the most eye-catching thing about the principal was that a white snake was circled around his neck and shoulders.
[[Author : Reference Art for the principal or Vrama Lascot is given in the chapter comments. Check it out.]]
This snake must be the reason why the Argonian host was looking so nervous and scared. But Dreamer didn't care about the Argonian host being nervous or not; he just used this time to use his skill, God's Eye, on the principal.
[ Name : Vrama Lascot ]
[ Race : Snake ]

[ Soul Level : 3 ]

[ Abilities : Appearance Morphing, ###, ### ]
'What is this? What's ###? Let me try again'
Dreamer said in his mind and tried a few more times but the result was the same as always. Every time "###" was coming.
After few more tries Dreamer gave up and he just focused on "###" that was coming.
And as Dreamer was focusing on the "###" a message popped up.
[ Host is not able to see some abilities of individuals who are at a much higher level than the host as his skill level is very low. Host is advised to level up his skill or to level up himself. ]
'Oh, that's the reason. But, now that I have come this far, I won't go back.' Dreamer thought.
'Liberi, isn't this principal kind of cool and strong for being a backstabber?' Dreamer remarked after seeing the principal.
After hearing what Dreamer said. Liberi just looked towards the principal and said,
'Don't be fooled by his smile or his appearance, my lord. He is just a snake in human skin.'
