A scar from the past simply means that you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.
And in Liberi's case, his scar from the past is Vrama.
Although he had successfully taken revenge from Vrama by killing him, still scars don't get away that easily.
So when he saw that the Tracking Gryphon was going to attack Dreamer from behind, he became really angry.
Because he was also stabbed from behind by a noble and lost his life. So, he doesn't want his lord to go through something like that too.
Thus, he moved as fast as he could to stop the Tracking Gryphon from attacking Dreamer.
And luckily Liberi reached near Dreamer on time and stopped the Tracking Gryphon on his track by piercing his torso with his sword, Venom.
And right now, the Tracking Gryphon is on its last breath, hanging between life and death.
"Liberi, you did great! And…"
"Kieech! Kieech! Kieech!..."
Dreamer was about to say something to Liberi but he got interrupted by a pained groan coming from the Tracking Gryphon.
The Gryphon was suffering from tremoundus pain as Venom was still stuck on his torso.
"Liberi! End his suffering first. I shouldn't be too harsh with him. After all, he is going to be our next comrade." ordered Dreamer in a casual manner.
After hearing Dreamer's order Liberi started acting on it instantly.
The Tracking Gryphon was lying beside Liberi's left side, so he just moved his head to look at the Gryphon but suddenly, Liberi's demeanor became somewhat angry as he started talking with the Gryphon.
"How dare you interrupt my lord while he was saying something! And that too when he was going to praise me more!
You started moaning out of nowhere! Be grateful that he is so kind that he is making you his subordinate.
But, as I am still angry with you, I will try my best to…" he said in an infuriated manner and while holding the handle of Venom he continued in the same manner.
"Give you pain!"
Liberi finished his sentence as he pulled out Venom from the Gryphon's torso ruthlessly.
And after Liberi pulled Venom out from the Gryphon's torso, blood started flowing relentlessly from his torso and the Gryphon again let out another pained groan and this time it was louder than before.
'I didn't know that Liberi can be this cruel. Or is it because he really has demon blood in his veins? Anyway, I have to tell him to kill that Griffin faster.' thought Dreamer in his mind while watching Liberi torchering the Gryphon.
"Liberi! Stop playing around and just kill him. I forgive him for interrupting me." said Dreamer as he ordered Liberi to kill the Tracking Gryphon as it was taking too much time and they also had to do some other work.
"As you wish, my lord." replied Liberi as he stopped his playtime with the Tracking Gryphon and simply pierced the Gryphon's heart using Venom.
And with a last loud painful grunt, The Tracking Gryphon died.
"Good!" commented Dreamer as he finally found some relief for his ears because the Tracking Gryphon was just making too much noise.
"Now, Liberi. Collect all the 15 beasts's bodies and present them in front of me. Till then, I am going to take some rest under that tree. Got it?" ordered Dreamer as he pointed out towards a tree which was situated on his right side.
"I understand, my lord." replied Liberi in a respectful manner as he bowed and left off to finish the task that was given to him by Dreamer.
Dreamer just nodded at this and went to his right side to sit under the tree to take some rest.

"Huff! Finally! Some rest!" sighed Dreamer as he sat down under a tree and finally got some rest.
'Kid, you fought well. For a first fight of course.'
As soon as Dreamer sat down under the tree to get some rest, Helix, who was silent for all this time, started speaking to Dreamer.
'Oh! Helix! Do you really think so? Haha!' replied Dreamer with a coy smile as he felt good when Helix praised him.
'Now, now. Don't get arrogant. You won the fight because you had an advantage over your opponent. And it was not that much of a tough opponent.
You see, in the near future when you will indulge yourself in world affairs you will meet many people who can kill you on a whim.
So, don't let this win get to your head.' said Helix as he advised Dreamer not to get too full of yourself.
'Yeah, yeah. You're so cold Helix. If you didn't want me to get arrogant then why did you even praise me after I won the fight.' retorted Dreamer in a dejected tone but deep down, he also knew that Helix was right.
'Well forget about these things. What I really want to know is are you going to make these 15 beasts your subordinates?' asked Helix in a curious tone as he was really looking forward to Dreamer's plan with the 15 beasts.
'No! I am not making all of them my subordinate. Only one and that is the Griffin.' replied Dreamer in a casual manner.
But after hearing Dreamer's reply Helix was confused because he thought that Dreamer will turn these 15 beasts into his subordinates but the answer that Dreamer gave right now was not what he was expecting.
'What do you mean, kid? Why do you want to lose such an opportunity to get 15 subordinates at once?
You can easily snatch their souls as their souls are all level 1 and then you can insert any soul in any of the 15 beats and get 15 subordinates all at once. Why are you not doing this?' asked Helix as he relentlessly threw a barrage of questions at Dreamer.
Helix was very confused and angry at Dreamer because according to him the 15 beasts should be turned into a subordinate who will help Dreamer in his journey ahead, but when Dreamer said he will only make one beast as his subordinate, Helix turned restless.
On the other hand, Dreamer was surprised by the sudden questions from Helix because Dreamer always thought that Helix has a calm personality but he never thought that Helix can also become so restless.
After seeing this part of Helix, a laugh escaped from Dreamer's mouth and then he decided to answer Helix's queries.
'Calm down, Helix! You are overreacting! Let me tell you the reason why I only want one subordinate from those 15 beasts.' spoke Dreamer as he continued explaining his reason.
'You see, I prefer quality over quantity. For example, if someone asked me to choose between 10 Early Beginner rank individuals as my subordinates or only 1 Pro Grand Master rank individual as my subordinate.
I will choose the Pro Grand Master rank individual as my subordinate.'
'And If you still didn't get it then let me say it more clearly. I chose the Tracking Gryphon because he will evolve as he grows stronger and also as I am here in this forest to hunt the beasts. So, who can be better than the Tracking Gryphon to find the locations of the other beasts!?
And with Gryphon's help I can get as many beasts I want to make them my subordinates, I don't need to just go on and create a subordinate out of any beast I see.
And I have already made my decision and don't you always say that, it's my call? So let me do it.'
Dreamer explained his reasoning for choosing the Tracking Gryphon as his subordinate among the 15 beasts. And he also stated clearly that he will not change his decision no matter what Helix will say.
After Dreamer finished explaining his reason, Helix didn't reply for a few seconds but eventually after five or six seconds he spoke.
'Well, kid. After hearing your reason. I also think that you are doing the right thing. So, keep going as Liberi also finished the task that you gave him.'
Helix also approved Dreamer's decision to make the Tracking Gryphon as his subordinate among the 15 beasts and he also told Dreamer that Liberi is coming.

"Yeah. You did great! Now, show me the bodies and put them in a horizontal line." ordered Dreamer as he was getting ready to get up.
After hearing Dreamer's order, Liberi instantly got up from his kneeling position and started taking out the bodies from the space bracelet.
And in just ten seconds Liberi took out and placed all 15 bodies in a horizontal line in front of Dreamer.
And when Dreamer saw that Liberi was finished doing what he had asked for, he also stood up and came close to the bodies of the 15 beasts.
And then, Dreamer raised his right hand and kept it in the air, above the 15 beasts' body. And then he spoke in a monarchical manner.
