"What are you doing here, mother?" Liberi asked, holding her mother's shoulders.
Kate, Liberi's mother, put her hand on Liberi's cheek. "I have come to wish you luck."
Liberi smiled and held her hand. "What about the old man? Where is he?"
At this, Kate's shoulders dropped, her gaze fallen to the ground. "He… he left me."
"What?"
"He said, he can't live with me anymore after knowing my past." Kate looked back at Liberi, putting a smile. "I don't blame him though. He is right."
Liberi stared at Kate, dark circles below her eyes and her messy hairs depicted her mental state.
"You are not getting enough sleep, mother. I will talk to my friend about you. Go to my room, and rest there for now." Liberi pushed Kate's back, making her walk on the corridor.
"My room number is one hundred and twenty three. Go and sleep there. I'll come after my fight."
"Bu-But…"
"Don't worry, mother. I'll be fine. I'll come back."
