"If you have black magic, then, maybe the wound can be cured?" Ye Shin suddenly made a guess.
"It's not enough to heal his wound. The black magic can only delay the blood flow of the majesty. But the wound is not healing," Gui Wen replied anxiously.
The two heaved a silent sigh and watched as the clouds started to cover the moon. They settled in silence for a long time.
Ye Shin subconsciously rubbed the jade bracelet in her wrists when an idea occurred to her.
"I have a proposition to your ghost emperor. Is he asleep?" Ye Shin asked.
"He does not usually sleep. And now that he has a bleeding wound, how could he take a rest?" Gui Wen answered while shaking his head. He felt utterly dejected after realizing that the lady had no cure.
"Then, I'll go and talk to him," Ye Shin said and slowly walked out of the pavilion.
"I'll join you," Gui Wen said and quickly moved beside her.
"Why do you always follow me? You are not my bodyguard," Ye Shin commented. From exploring the town, this man insisted on joining her. He was really acting like he was his shadow!
Gui Wen only glared at the ground as the two of them stepped outside.
After a while, they reached the east wing of the castle. They saw the ghost emperor looking at his reflection in the mirror. More specifically, he was examining the wound on his neck.
"You're majesty," Gui Yen said and gave a customary bow. Ye Shin only moved her head and proceed to enter the almost desolate hall.
"Ghost emperor, your wound is bleeding continuously?" Ye Shin started. She had asked this man about his name but the man refused to tell her. Hence, she decided to just call him ghost emperor.
The man put down the mirror that he was holding and nodded his head. He then removed the clothing on his neck and revealed the wound. Still, the blood slowly rolled out of the cut.
"You really got me. This wound was from the sharp object that I felt when you asked about the Hallowed Lair. It is probably caused by you, right?" the ghost emperor said. He was not really certain of it was Ye Shin's weapon for he did not saw her move at that time. But his instincts tell him that it was her.
"Indeed. The most important thing right now is to cure that wound or else you'll die out of blood loss," Ye Shin said.
"The physicians in this castle already examined this wound. They have no way of producing a cure. What is the blade that you use? Was it a spiritual blade?" the ghost emperor inquired.
Ye Shin ignored his questions and move towards him. She examined the cut and saw that it was really a spiral wound.
"I have a way to cure this wound," Ye Shin spoke.
On the side, Gui Wen frowned and mentally commented, 'Didn't she said that there is no cure for the wound?'
"But I have a condition to make. As long as you stop consuming the cultivation of others and use a different method to enhance your power, this wound will be healed," Ye Shin finished.
'What bullsh*t!' Gui Wen instantly exclaimed. It was clear that Ye Shin only wanted the ghost emperor to stop using others to enhance his power! What an unreasonable request!
"I can only use enchantments. Since I have no weapon anymore, I cannot enhance any skills using other means. Absorbing the core of other cultivators is the only way," the ghost emperor argued.
"You need a weapon? I'll lend you a sword," Ye Shin said. She then manifested a long sword in her hand. The weapon looked ordinary and there is no special decorations on it.
"I need a decent weapon," the ghost emperor rephrased after seeing the mediocre-looking sword that Ye Shin was holding.
"This is decent. You should thank the heavens for your luck. Not everyone can touch this weapon. In this universe, only few people had touched it," Ye Shin stated and handed him the sword.
The ghost emperor hesitated. And Ye Shin's hand that was holding the sword was suspended in the air while waiting for him to grab the hilt.
"Before you take the sword, make sure you relax your hand. This weapon does not have any weight and is very sharp. And do not abuse the power of this sword or I will personally end your life," Ye Shin continued.
'It doesn't look like it's sharp at all!' Gui Wen thought and did not mind too much of Ye Shin's last statement. But the incident of the scarlet lord's manor suddenly appeared in his mind. His eyes lit up in excitement.
On the other side, the ghost emperor looked very unimpressed. He felt that the lady was exaggerating her views about the sword. Nevertheless, he extended his hand and grab the hilt.
The moment he held the sword, he indeed felt something incredible. It felt like he was holding nothing!
'Oh? This sword has really no weight!' he mentally noted. Then, the man faced the wall and made a slashed motion in the air to practice and feel the weapon. A spiral aura glinted from it before the sound of explosion sounded.
Bogsh!
"AHH!" he gasped in shock when the wall was cut despite not making a contact with the sword. He stared at the spiral hole and then to the sword. Somehow, the shape of the cut in the wall resembled his wound.
"I just said it's sharp, why do you slash it?" Ye Shin calmly asked him.
"Was it the sword will that cut the wall? Even if this is sharp, it has to make in contact with the target before it can cause damage, right? So how is it possible that the wall was affected by my slash?" the ghost emperor asked while examine the sword.
"I am not a sword master, so my weapon does not have a sword will. But, it has a strong invisible aura and I placed a portion of my consciousness on it that could be also considered as the temporary will of the weapon. I lend that sword to you. Don't play with it!" Ye Shin said.
"Ye Shin, is this the weapon that you used when you demolished the mansion of the scarlet lord?" Gui Wen could not help but asked. He stepped forward and also took a good look at the sword.
"No, it was different blades. That sword, I sometimes manifest that," Ye Shin answered.
"Scarlet lord? The two of you encountered the bride stealing ghost cultivator?" the ghost emperor suddenly asked after hearing Gui Wen's comments.
"Your majesty, that scarlet lord had indeed tried to make Ye Shin as his wife. But the lady made his mansion collapse in just a blink of an eye. His enchantments completely crumbled on the ground," Gui Wen obliged himself to report the details.
"There is no need to dwell in what happened. I warned him, he did not listen. Anyway, if you want that wound on your neck to heal, start using the weapon to enhance your power," Ye Shin stated before the ghost emperor could ask more details about her encounter with the scarlet lord.
"I see. But if this sword is too sharp, is there a scabbard that fits for this?" the ghost emperor asked. How could he bring this sword with him if it could create such uncontrollable damage? He was now extra careful of his movement and place the weapon on his table.
"There is no need for you to use a scabbard. The weapon is not meant to be restrained. Just let it lay on that desk after you practice," Ye Shin replied.
