Yui shifted in his seat. It had been two hours since the personality test was to start. His brown hair fell across his face as he tilted his head, scanning the stage.
At long last an official wearing a black suit and red tie walked over to the mic.
Yui bit the back of his lip. Finally.
A deep voice echoed through the mic as the announcer began to speak while adjusting his tie, "As you may or may not know, the alpha test cannot be as simple as questions. Therefore our current alpha, Master Ai, has requested change of plans. The contestants are now to thrive, not survive by any means in the forbidden forest"
The official was continuing with the announcement but Yui wasn't listening, his lips parted slightly at those few words. The forbidden forest, a place where all monsters and rouges are banished to, where shadows creep through the eerie night and vampires reign over the land. They couldn't send Kenta there, or anyone for that matter!
Yui knew he couldn't do anything though, the feelings, at the same time, were a bit too much for him. A sense of anger and worry all erupting at once, but all he could do was sit there and drown himself in nervous, shaky breaths.
He wasn't in Kenta's position right then, but he felt he was, over the past few years he had started to fall for him, like climbing up a mountain and jumping off. His heart was a total mess whenever he spoke to him, it feld like it was being struck by an arrow, but it felt good, and his face felt warm...
Yui was so distracted with Kenta he nearly forgot about him clenching the chair so Hard his knuckles were turning white, and his subconscious self was sweating nervously, wanting to fall asleep and wake up two days later and see Kenta again.
The forest was no joke, everyone had only seen the outskirts. Whoever dared to so much as take a step in to the shadow and fog was never seen again. This was why Yui was anxious, he knew Kenta's family wouldn't care but he did. He cared a lot.

It was already dusk, Yui had managed to stay awake somehow. He didn't even have to battle sleep, not even be cautious of it. In fact he wanted to sleep. But he just couldn't. Rumours had already spread of someone dying in the forest, but who was it?
Yui wasn't sure he could take all of this. It felt like a dream that he couldn't escape. A slight feeling of dizziness clung onto him as he walked to his bed, his blue eyes dimmed ae he became weary from staying awake.
The room felt so close yet so distant, he didn't even notice he was pulling the covers over him until it was up to his neck. It was cold outside, as it always was in winter.
Just one more night. One more night and this hell of a time would be over, why did the alpha have to be so fucking strict? Couldn't he care the least for his people. Anger took over Yui as he pressed his eyes closed in another failing attempt to sleep.
The crisp air drifted through the window and a chill went down Yui's spine...
Couldn't master Ai just let him... go...
Yui felt his eye lids get heavier, and his body turned to bricks as he drifted into sleep
