Madeline's jaw dropped to the floor.
"Briar? What are you doing here?" She questioned, her head turned to face the lady that'd just barged in and interrupted her conversation with Xavier.
What was the explanation to this?
What was happening?
Was this another dream?
Madeline held her head.
"My poor head," she mumbled.
Things had a knack for catching her by surprise these days.
Xavier looked back and forth between them. He'd expected someone to come barging in, but he hadn't expected her. He'd gotten into a defensive stance once seeing the intruder. Of course, he backed down once Madeline confirmed she knew who the intruder was, but that didn't mean he was completely trusting of her.
Furrowing his brows, he realized she was a familiar face. He'd definitely seen her before. And he had perfect memory, so there was no doubt she was… well, only time would tell.
