"Morning," Briar greeted, walking in Adrian's office and opening his curtains.
Noticing his sullen expression, she asked him, "How long have you been here?"
"I didn't count," Adrian answered.
She took a sip of his coffee, staring at what he was working on.
"You could've drank new coffee," Adrian said, unable to get upset at her with how tired he was.
"Yours taste better," Briar admitted, before she told him, "You need to get some sleep."
"I don't sleep."
"Well, I'm making you so you get some form of rest."
"Xavier will–"
"You do realise that Xavier does take off days too. Like that day off he took to go out with Madeline on a date at the mall. It's not a sin, or anything like that."
"I know," Adrian said, burying his face in his hands.
"If you won't take a day off then breakfast. With me, Madeline, and Xavier."
"Xavier's having breakfast with you guys?"
