But in the act of checking someone out.
Of course, it came as a huge shock to the members of Eudora when Alpha Xavier had introduced his twin brother, who was no ordinary man. He was Lawrence Ronan, who was also an alpha to a relatively powerful pack.
And thankfully, the rain had stopped by then.
But, while all eyes were on Xavier and Lawrence, they hadn't noticed Lawrence eyeing a certain someone in the crowd.
Madeline nudged Briar in the rib, and Briar looked at the direction Madeline was looking at to see Lexie.
She shot Madeline a questioning look, and Madeline silently gestured at Lawrence before gesturing at Lexie. It didn't take long for Briar to piece things together.
