Chapter 69 - To your first death and many more!

Not many care about what the sword thinks not even their masters. Yet this sword who for all of his life was listened to all his worries and fears were heard by his master. They shared the joys of battle and the saddens of losing their companions.

No matter what he stood side by side with his master ready to cut all that stood against them. They became inseparably bound by the soul after so many battles. Now this sword remains in a dark throne room a place meant to protect the universe from a terrible disaster.

This room was illuminated by the silver-white glow of the sword. This sword used the radiant will of his master to keep him bound to his prison. Just like his master he had hope that his master would be saved even after millions of years.

"How long has it been since I regained my clarity?" a low guttural voice asked the light became brighter when the man spoke.

"Nearly 40 million years ago!" the sword said as it formed a physical appearance of a young child. It gripped the man's black hand.

It felt like bark but yet soft the three long claw-like fingers twitched. The child looked at the man's eyes which slowly became alive.

"Not long at all but still must have been an eternity for you my friend?" the man said he soon coughed heavily chunks of flesh and dark red blood left him and fell to the area around him.

The man grabbed the sword and pushed it deeper into him once the hilt was touching his chest did he stop.

"I can easily wait a few million years even a trillion is child's play just wait soon someone will help us!" the child said as it gripped the arm tightly crushing the man's arm in two. The man did not even notice as it repaired at a quick pace the arm became darker once it stopped.

"Tell me what has happened since my absence?"

"Well, nothing good that place what was it it was the world you made well they failed they are alive but they are near extinction."

"I'm not even surprised at this point how far did they expand a supercluster or just a small local group?"

"Only the galaxy but even then I don't even think they have it they have a few planets but they have mostly no territory."

"You know I think that blind guy was right I should not have given humanity my personality as a foundation for them."

"Did they find the buildings I made or not?"

"Let me see."

"That's strange noctem arrived at the Jupiter lab but it has never left?"

"Haha, I see another Odin has arrived!"

"No, it is a boy named Sigewulf but he has the mark of a child of Odin the abyss is literally consuming him."

"One of my sons?"

"I see I know what he is here for it seems it's not long before our hero arrives."

"Really?"

"Yes I hope by the time he arrives I can be aware."

"Well once he saves us you will be aware so don't worry let's plan the next goal after you get helped."

'I won't be alive to do them, child but I will be saved death is a mercy the weak can never get and also a mercy that the strong can never accept.'

"I'm sorry but you'll have to do them yourself I feel myself slipping stay strong child."

Odin closed his eyes and he lay motionless but soon he spasmed and a heavy pressure covered the area. Odin opened his eyes and the red eyes filled with life became dead blue eyes filled with savage anger.

The child returned to the sword and calmed the man. The silver light kept the savage beast at bay only small growls and roars came.

In the silence soft cries echoed in the room bouncing off the walls and dead corpses that filled the castle. Above in space, a huge expanse of rings covered the planet and even the huge sun. Weapons that once kept others out now we're pointed at the planet.

Only machines were present the once glorious civilization was now dead by the hands of their ruler. The machines that spent millions of years to imprison Odin watched the world. Waiting for any signs of movement on the cold dead world.

The once red oceans were now empty what filled it was the still prestine dead corpses of the citizens of this world.

"The statue had been acting erratically in the trials be careful you will have a high probability of death if you don't pay attention."

Helios warned Sigewulf who was placing his weapons on the table nearby only taking a sword. He quickly took off his armor and replace the gravity stabilizer. The trial Sigewulf had to face involved three rounds and he could only use one melee weapon and no armor.

A white circle was drawn on the ground leaving it would end the trial. Sigewulf walked into the circle and the statute started to move the spear in its hand quickly stabbed at Sigewulf location.

Sigewulf easily dodged to the side and saw the statue of Odin slowly bring back the spear and prepare to attack again. The first round was very easy as the statue took a wind up before attacking. The goal of this round was to test once timing and awareness if he moved before the time the statue would send a flurry of attacks at him.

Sigewulf stood still and waited for the attack and after a few breaths the spear moved. Sigewulf took a right and attacked the started arm. It reacted quickly and used the spear to block Sigewulf did not attack on time and moved so the statue started to send a flurry of stabs at him. Each aimed for every uncovered spot for Sigewulf these attacks though fast were still blockable for him.

After a straight minute of attacks, the statue stopped and jumped back he got into a stance and got ready to attack.

'Why should I even wait for the attacks when I can just launch mine why wait for my enemy to attack when I can attack him first?'

Sigewulf thought about this and decided to just attack the attacks the statue used were easy to block and he could easily get behind it. Finally falling into the trap Sigewulf ran and attacked the statue before the sword touched the statue it disappeared.

His left hand was punctured looking down at it he saw the bronze color of the spear mixed with his blood. He tried attacking his behind but he felt the spear being removed and by the time he turned his head the statue was gone.

'Send a med bed to the trial ground and also ready the reviver solution he might die.'

Helios contacted a med bot as he watched his eyes tried to find the statue but failed. The statue moved at fast speeds that light couldn't bounce off it. Sigewulf stood still and tried to listen for any clues after a long silence he heard a small step to his right. He attacked the spot he saw the statue's face smile it felt off as if everything about it was not meant to exist.

At this thought, the smile the statue had turned into a frown. It lifted its freehand and snapped its fingers and the two disappeared from the spot. Helios looked around and scanned the area before looking at the sky zooming in he saw the two above in the sky five thousand miles above the ground.

Sigewulf was confused by the teleportation but soon regained his focus. The statue launched a volley of attacks while they fell to the ground below. Sigewulf deflected the attacks and tried to slow his momentum to reach the statue.

[this reminds me of the time my creator and Odin were thrown off a spaceship while fighting some dude try to cancel your momentum as much as you can and then use your qi to turn most of your body into void energy.]

'Noted!'

Sigewulf reached out and grabbed the statue bringing it closer before soon arriving above it. He started to send slash after slash of attacks to the statue. For a few minutes, Sigewulf focused on keeping the statue distracted and also turning himself into pure void energy.

By the time they were six miles above ground, Sigewulf had covered most of his vitals and was trying to protect his major limbs. As they got closer the statue stopped and just stared at Sigewulf.

"Did you think you could survive this you didn't even covert your neck into void energy hahaha?"

The statue laughed and sent a final attack at Sigewulf it easily severed his head from the rest of his body. The statue hit the ground and shattered into pieces and Sigewulf body and head fell in different areas. Helios and the medic robots ran to him and quickly placed him on the Medbed.

They started the healing procedure by injecting a blue liquid into Sigewulf's body the broken legs and spine started to join back and small flesh tendrils grew. Connecting onto the torn head of Sigewulf the medic robot carried another tube with a small grey light.

Placing it in a port of the med bed the light ran to Sigewulf's body and entered it. His body spasmed for a while before becoming motionless. His vital slowly returned they made sure his soul was properly in the stomach before they let him rest.

Some would wonder why the soul was in the stomach well it was simple. The mind had the sentience of a being the instincts that drive them. The stomach was another mind that held the soul in the stomach the bacteria controlled the preference of the being.

This was a reason most were picky with food this impart with many genes was what made humans and other beings have a personality. In the end, whatever skin color whatever food preference you had whatever you loved whatever you hated was never under your control.

Which to Odin was quite sad to imagine bacteria made you hate such good tasting food and made you like to eat shit.

Noctem walked to the statue and took the spear and then walked to Sigewulf med bed. She watched as Sigewulf tried to open his eyes he looked around in confusion before looking at noctem.
