Having Harper here at Ravenwood has been a real blessing. She is a lot like my mom and it's just nice having another lady in the house. Paige is amazing but she's a royal guard, so she hardly ever let's loose. My dad has been working hard to come up with a plan. It's been 4 weeks since our adventure in Rome, and still no sign from Tobias. I hope he comes. If he doesn't we will just go through the plan without him. "Dahlia, I have sent letters to the 3 largest packs, inviting them to your 20th birthday and potential suiting" my dad says. "That's good to hear" Dahlia says without enthusiasm. "Have you heard from Tobias yet?" my father asks. "No, I haven't and I'm worried if we don't speak to him, he may take my actions as evil, breaking the blood pact" Dahlia said worried. "Come now, he will show when he's ready" my father says. "Dad it's already been 4 weeks!" Dahlia says anxiously. "It will be okay, either way, now relax please" my father says. As my father and I are talking, you hear the soilders let out alert calls. "Someone's coming!" Dahlia said. In an instance she changes into her majestic wolf. A wolf, fit for royalty. "Let's go check it out!" She tells her dad through mindlink. Dahlia races to the front doors of the mansion. Dahlia runs through the door outside. She takes a huge sniff of the air... "Vampire!" She alerts the pack. Dahlia follows the scent and comes face to face with Tobias once more. "Well, isn't this quite the greeting" Tobias says sarcastically. "It's been 4 weeks!" Dahlia yells at him through mindlink. "Your royal highness, I didn't know you were that eager to see me" Tobias says smugly. "Oh shut up, it's serious" Dahlia says. My dad catches up with a blanket and puts it over my shoulders as I turn back. "Let's go inside first" my dad says. We follow my dad into the mansion. I go to the spare bathroom and put on my sweats and hoodie. I go back to the kitchen where my dad has Tobias seated at the table. "Glad you could join us" Tobias says with attitude. "Okay, knock it off. If you don't want to hear what we have to say, you can leave!" Dahlia growls, startling Tobias. "Dahlia, calm down" My father says. "Right, sorry you're our guest" Dahlia said. Harper comes into the room. "Oh good to see, you could fit us into your busy schedule, Tobias. You know it's rude to keep a lady waiting" Harper says. "You now mingle with Fae, oh that's hilarious" Tobias says laughing. Harper flicks her wand and Tobias mouth is fused shut. All he can do now is make muffled squeaks. My father and I can't help but chuckle. "Since every time you open your mouth it's useless, so I've shut it for you, so you can be quiet and listen!" Harper yells at him. "Fae are fearless" Dahlia said to her father. "Yeah, no kidding" my dad said with a laugh. "Tobias, this is Harper, she was my mother's spy within the council" Dahlia said. Tobias stopped fidgeting and paid attention to what I had said. Tobias makes a circle hand gesture around his mouth. "I'll unsealed it, if you will listen" Harper said. Tobias nods his head yes. Harper flicks her wand and Tobias can speak again. "Why would Emma, send you into spy within the council?" Tobias asks. "Right after things went...well demonic, with the past Luna and Alpha of Ravenwood, Emma had suspicions that the council and a witch was involved. Emma, suspected because, right after Genevieve's and Sébastien's trip to Rome, everything went bizarre" Harper said. Tobias looks visibly upset and shocked. "Do you have proof!?" Tobias asked. Harper looks frustrated for a minute. "That's the thing, there's a bunch of clues, rumor and hearsay, but there's no direct evidence of anything" Harper said defeated. "That is suspicious" Tobias says. "The reason, I asked you here today Tobias, is because I plan to go against Lord Ulrich. Even if it cost me my life" Dahlia said. "Why involve me?" Tobias asked. Dahlia looks angry and snaps. "Because! If this pans out true, you were manipulated and killed so many innocent people and so did my parents!" Dahlia snarled. "Hey, whoa!" my dad says. Dahlia has tears falling from her cheeks. "All, that loss? and for what, because of someone's ambitions and greed" Dahlia said whimpering. "Hey honey, it will be okay" my dad says trying to reassure me. "I also called you here because of our blood pact, I may be required to kill" Dahlia says not looking at Tobias. Tobias has sat quiet ever since I yelled at him. Dahlia thought she made him mad, when in reality he was processing everything she said. "Fae, how sure are you that Ulrich and the council had something to do with our blood feud?" Tobias asks seriously. "The council less than 50%, if they didn't help someone knows something, Lord Ulrich, he was definitely 100% involved. Most of the clues, and other evidence point to the council's witch" Harper said. Tobias expression goes dark. "How dare they use us!" Tobias seethed slamming his hand on the table. "We must stop them!" Tobias yells. "We are working on a plan, it will take some time but we are working in it" My father speaks. "What plan?!" Tobias asked. "When we were at Rome, Ulrich, had us attend a private council meeting. He proceeded to tell me how to be Luna, and if I am not married by pack traditions, I will have to concede the pack to the council" Dahlia said still not looking at Tobias. Tobias now looks even more furious. "How dare that slug, try and prey on an innocent girl" Tobias says getting more angry. "Thankfully, Harper had warned us, and her Intel was 100% true. We knew about his intentions" My father said. "So, Advisor of Ravenwood, what are your plans?" Tobias asks. "I have already written the surrounding packs, to cordially invited them to Dahlia's 20th birthday and to find a suitor" my father says. "That's nearly a year and a half away!" Tobias says. "You know it's not easy to infiltrate the council. Plus, we do as Ulrich demands and he will keep his nose out of our business. Dahlia will get stronger and if she finds her mate, that will only increase her power" my father states. "What does Dahlia think of your plan?" Tobias says as he looks at me. "Finding a mate is necessary in a pack. I don't mind as long as I can have a choice" Dahlia says. "You don't think your biting off more than you can chew wolf?" Tobias asks condescending. "I let you live, remember that" Dahlia said staring at Tobias as her eyes flashed Crimson. Tobias just glared at her. "We don't have to be enemies Tobias" my father says. "Bring me credible Intel and I will vow, not only to avenge our lost ones, but to become your Ally and I will remove the Blood Pact condition. Sound fair?" Tobias says. Dahlia looks at Tobias and she gets up from her seat and give him a hug. "Thank you, Tobias" Dahlia said. "We have a lot of work to do, I'm going to get started. You're welcome to leave or to stay awhile" Dahlia says as she walks away. "She is going to be one hell of a Luna" Tobias says with admiration. "She already is" my father corrects. "Tobias, come back in 6 months and I will have the information you seek" Harper says. Tobias shakes his head in agreement. "I must be going" Tobias says. My father and Harper walk him to the doors of Ravenwood and he opens the door. "See you in 6 months" Tobias says and then proceeds to vanish from the front door of Ravenwood.
