Chereads / The Blood Luna / Chapter 61 - Blood Pact

Chapter 61 - Blood Pact

I had every intention of letting Tobias go. He deserves, a second chance to live life, without so much hatred and intolerance. As I was watching him after I told him I'd let him go, he stared at me for awhile. I could tell he was having a battle of his inner demons on what he should do next. I backed away from where he laid, as a peace offering to let him get up. Tobias slowly makes his way to his feet, I never take my eyes off him. I keep praying to the moon goddess, that he can move pass this. "I can tell, you're different from your parents. I wasn't expecting this. You even let me harm you, to prove your point. I don't know how to move on without my mate" Tobias said weakly. "I wish I could feel your pain but before today, I didn't even know what it was to be werewolf. I don't truly know what a mate is" Dahlia minlinked Tobias. "They are the missing link to your soul, that empty place that only they can fill. A lot of supernaturals have actually died if their mate was killed or died" Tobias exclaimed. "If a mate brings this much trouble, I'm happy to be alone forever" Dahlia replied. Tobias actually laughed at my comment. "Silly child, we are all fated, even humans to be with our soul mate" Tobias replied. "I'm just now 18, I have the pack and I have to learn how to be a Luna, I don't have time for a mate" Dahlia said. "In time, trust me, it will happen when you least expect and it will change your life forever" Tobias said. "Let us end this feud Tobias and start over. I promise as long as I'm alive, no more tyranny, no more meaningless murder, no more acts of evil from my bloodline or pack, and most importantly, peace". Dahlia proclaimed. Tobias with his remaining arm, put his hand to his chin, to think about my proposal. I can see he's really considering what I said. "Okay, Dahlia, I will give you, one last chance to prove, that not all Ravenwood's are evil. If anything happens, I will be back, to finish what I started. I expect great things from you, I can sense greatness in you" Tobias said. I nod my head yes in agreement with Tobias. I see shoot his fangs out and take a bite put of his hand. "What the hell?" Dahlia said. "We're going to make a blood pact to bind our promise to one another. I will know if it's been broken" Tobias replied. That seems reasonable enough. I bite down on my paw, damn that really hurt. I place my giant paw in his hand, and you see red mist glistening all around our hands. Our blood is now a binding contract. The glowing stops and I can see, a shape of a red quill on my paw. It looks similar to the color of a birth mark. Tobias shows me his hand and he has the same mark. "It's done. Dahlia, I'm sorry for today and I'm sorry about your mom" Tobias said. "All good things come to an end, it's the natural order of things. It will be hard, but I know my mom wants me to be happy and live life" Dahlia replied. "Will you be okay, without your arm?" Dahlia asked. "It will grow back in time" Tobias replied. "Oh, I didn't know that vampires could do that" Dahlia replied. "Well, we have to feed, and most likely, I will have to eat and then stay in my crypt until it grows back" Tobias said. Dahlia nods her head in understanding. "Your wolf by the way, it's one of a kind and there's never been a wolf like you. You're beautiful. Keep that purity about you. I must be going" Tobias said and he had giant black demon looking wings sprout from his shoulders and he left our Island. I need to get back to my dad. "Dahila hopefully that was a smart idea to let him go" my wolf said. "Only time will tell right now I gotta get back to dad!" Dahlia said. Dahlia makes her way back to the front doors of the mansion. I did not think about this, I didn't have hands to open the door. I guess I will have to go back to the garden, the way I came. I extend my claws and dig them into the brick of the mansion and start to pull myself up. This is a harder than it looks. I finally reach the roof of the mansion entrance. I follow the scent I pick up with my nose. "Dad!" I exclaim and rush on the roof top, to make my way towards the opening to the garden. I can feel my body growing tired, after all the battling. Hold on dad, I'm coming.
