LockHeart POV
I felt satisfied as I looked at the wreckage and devastation in front of me. I used to be able to go up against an army and win. Now I can defeat a superhuman army. I am always the strongest, regardless of whether it is the modern world or the apocalypse. No one will ever be able to compete with me. Before continuing my search for demons, I take a few more seconds to take in the scene in front of me. I will imprint this image as my first step into my journey in becoming a GOD.
I walked for days on end killing demons left and right. Granting me more strength as the journey continues. After a while of walking I found myself in front of a thick jungle with trees tall and strong. Plants of various kinds can be seen growing from roots and dirt of the jungle. I walk inside the jungle feeling it's cold and gloomy atmosphere with looming shadows of trees everywhere. As I travel deeper and deeper into the jungle I can feel the breezing wind blow upon my body cooling it.
I felt at ease as I walked through the forest until I heard rustling in the bushes. I squinted at the shrub, furious that something had dared to disrupt my peace. I approach, irritated, ready to attack with my sword. The animal inside the bush leaps toward me at tremendous speed, as if it understands my objective. Unfortunately for the animal, it messes with the wrong person. I slice at it with ferocious power, slicing its whole body in half. The monster was so astonished by its own demise that it didn't have time to respond; it didn't make a single cry of pain until its corpse lay flat on the ground.
I took a closer look and realized it was a rabbit, but it didn't look like any bunny I'd ever seen. The rabbit is two meters tall and has a black horn on top of its head, unlike typical rabbits. When I examine it more closely, I see that its teeth aren't the conventional bunny teeth for eating veggies. Fangs replace the two front teeth that are linked with bunnies. Looking at the fangs I would assume that this bunny is carnivore or omnivore, but this is unusual because there are no rabbit species that eat meat. Looking at this phenomena, I can only come up with two possible causes for such an unusual rabbit. This rabbit might be a very unusual bunny mutation or it could have been altered by GOD. I believe the latter of these two choices is more feasible, because causing animals to evolve into a more savage version of themselves would make it much more difficult for humans to live. Of course, while this is the most likely scenario, it's also possible that an animal absorbs the fiery amber and mutates.
It's impossible to draw a conclusion based on a single piece of evidence. So I set out to find more creatures similar to the rabbit, my sword buzzing to indicate that there is life in the area. I rush about the jungle with my sword as a navigator until I find another species that is completely different from its counterpart. A four-meter-tall wolf with Saber Tooth Tiger-like fangs stands in front of me. A black horn appears to be on its head. The wolf's fur is completely black, and its crimson eyes stare me down with fear.
The wolf howled in an attempt to scare me, but it was ineffective because I am significantly larger than it. It tried to flee, but I was quicker to react. Grabbing it in my massive palm and pulling its head out, I effortlessly killed it. After seeing the wolf, I can confidently state that one of my two assumptions is correct. Now I need to figure out if the god or the fiery ember cause.
I've been running around the forest for the past few days, looking for an animal that hasn't yet transformed. However, no matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find one, therefore I've come to the conclusion that these events are the result of GOD. The GOD who talked to us is to blame for all of the animal mutations.
That makes me ponder which of the mutant creatures I should keep as a pet. Any foe would be terrified in the presence of a powerful pet. I thought about what kind of animal I wanted for a while and narrowed it down to three options: lion, tiger, and elephant. Lion because it is known as the king of the jungle and an apex predator making it an obvious choice. Tigers since they are larger, heavier, and longer than lions and are classified as apex predators. Of course Elephants as they are the world's largest terrestrial mammals, with only humans as a competitor. Anyone who offends me would be scared if I had a gigantic elephant as a pet.
After some consideration, I believe none of the species I've selected can be found in this jungle. North America is devoid of lions and elephants, while the majority of tigers are held in captivity by the United States. Any of these creatures can't be my pet unless I find a zoo elsewhere. That leaves me with the alternative animal I desire. The brown bear is a fearsome beast capable of breaking your bones with a single paw. It would be no less than possessing one of the animals listed above if I could get my hands on a brown bear.
I went on a rampage into the woods in search of a brown bear. During that time, I've come across and killed a variety of mutated animals. One of them was a wolf, which I easily dispatched without difficulty. Under my feet, I easily squish a rabbit to death. Monkeys whose heads I rip from their bodies, and a slew of others. In summary, I've slaughtered every animal in my path, creating havoc on the locals.
Many creatures howl in terror whenever they see my mighty ten-meter self during my rampage. The mutated creatures would flee once my thundering footsteps were heard. My might intimidates not just humans, but also animals. When I'm basking in the glory, a thundering sound came from my front. I looked at the direction of the sound, and smiled. It finally decided to show itself.
From the bushes emerges a terrifying gigantic beast. It had black fur and a physique that resembled a mountain. The beast's paws are the size of a human's, smashing the earth with each stride. It stared me down with its terrifying crimson blood eyes and tried to scare me with its enormous jaws. Looking at the beast in front of me, I'm certain this is going to be my pet.
