I love Jessica, she got me an opportunity thanks to her connections.
The studio is in New York, but she said they were going to Chicago for some recruits.
Well, I'm in need for some recruitment.
I have the outfits ready in my notebook and they look amazing.
All of you are probably thinking if I do anything else besides designing. Listen, this is my dream. I got rejected from art school, which means I need to work even harder.
The recruitment was in three days and I'm already five steps ahead, can't help it.
Florine
I was at the police station with mom. She was disturbed when she saw the video. She thought that I did something so terrible, but later we found out that the video was a deep fake.
It was a clip from other people but whoever sent it, edited my face into it.
"Is there any way we can catch the person who did it?" She asked and the policewoman shrugged.
-"There are no connections to the video.
It's difficult to find out who it is. The best you can do is private your accounts, shut them down, and wait for the video to die down"
-that's it? the video was sent to more people. What if they think it was her?"
We left the station after they did nothing.
-"I'm sorry, that this had to happen when we met," I said and mom understood.
-"it's ok, Florine. I know you wouldn't do something so bad. Even though If mom deserves it"
She said.
Grandma was sent to a mental facility. She went crazy after the police took her before she did anything bad to me.
We went to a coffee shop and got something to drink.
-"Florine, I have to talk to you about something"
She said.
-"I know you just met me, but you're my daughter and I only saw you when you were a baby"
-"yeah?" I said waiting for her to finish what she had to say.
-"I want you to come to Norway with me and your dad"
My eyes widened.
-"really?" I asked and she nodded.
-"This is something I never thought would happen this early. I want you to know your relatives, your house," she said excitedly.
I never thought about coming home to Norway.
I have so many things going on here in Chicago, The band, school, my friends, especially Jodi.
-"I have to think about it," I said softly and mom understood.

-"Mom!" I ran to her as she entered the house.
-"oh my god, Crown!" She put her hand on her chest.
She just came from work. I waited the entire evening for her to come home.
-"What is so important that you decide to scare me?" She asked.
-"they sent me the location for the designing recruitment thing!" I gave her my phone and she looked at the location.
-"here? Why are they having this activity in that area?" She asked confused.
-"what area?" I asked.
-"This area is super sketchy, the things that go on here are bad" she shook her head.
Please don't tell me she's not going to let me go.
-"Can I still go?" I asked and she hesitated.
-"I don't know," she said.
-"you don't have to drop me, we can enter the place together"
I was getting crazy at this point.
It took her a second to respond.
-"I'll drive you and I'll enter that place with you. But if we see a drop of something sketchy, we leave"
I jumped and I hugged her.

I was at school and I wanted to talk with the band about the offer mom gave me.
The Eleven Inch Nails are something I'm so proud of.
They were there for me after the things that happened with grandma.
I wrote so many songs with them, how am I going to let that go?
But I want to meet my dad and my relatives.
-"Listen, guys, I have some upsetting news"
I said and both of them listened to me.
-"mom wants me to move to Norway with her"
Jodi looked upset.
-"and you want to?" Jodi asked.
-"I don't know" I facepalmed.
-"what about the band, you're the best" Christian said.
-"I want to and I don't. Mom leaves back to Norway tomorrow and she wants me to decide"
-"it's up to you. You can leave, or stay with us" Jodi said and I thought.
I can move back to Norway when I graduate high school, but that will be years from now. Mom wants to catch up with all that she lost.

I got ready for the recruitment. I had a cute little outfit, I had all my designs organized and ready for presentation, I was prepared!
Mom and I got in the car and she started to drive.
She drove to some weird area and we looked through the windows.
The area looked more abandoned than the one we drove through before, which is weird because, in the GPS, it specifically says that the place is here.
We parked at the building and it was ugly,
Brown, dirty, and abandoned. This wasn't the place. I was set up.
Did Jessica set me up? She's my friend, she wouldn't do this to me, but she was the one who spoke with the agency in the first place.
-"Mom, let's go. I was set up" I said.
-"Are you kidding me, Crown?" She said.
A man started approaching to the car and I pointed at him to mom. He looked so sketchy and dangerous.
He tapped our glass and we flinched.
-"umm, mom, we should go!" I said and she started driving.
I need to talk with Jessica, urgently.
Can't believe she betrayed me like that.

I met up with mom once again. This was the time, the time to let mom know if I'm going back or staying here.
-"did you decide?" She asked and I grabbed her hands.
-"I want to stay here"
Mom looked upset with my response.
-"I talked to your caretaker, He is moving and can't take care of you anymore. You have nowhere to go," she said.
Wait, he left? I can't live by myself, I'm a minor, and what if grandma escapes the facility and comes back home.
That's a little overdramatic, but I get too exaggerated mentally when stressed.
-I think I know who to move with"
I said.
-"who?" Mom asked.
Flash forward.
I came to Jodi's place and they answered the door.
-"can I talk to you?" I asked and they nodded.
-"I'm not going back to Norway," I said and Jodi's eyes lit up.
-"Really!" They hugged me tightly.
-"but the person who took care of me after the incident is moving and I have nowhere to move if I'm staying here.
Jodi thought and ran to some room in the house.
I heard them talking with someone.
I stood there awkwardly waiting.
Jodi came back with another girl.
-"Florine, this is my sister Noah" she waved.
-"I talked to her and she's going to let you move in with us"
I looked at them surprised.
-"really?" I asked.
-"I don't mind having another person here," Noah said and Jodi looked so excited.

I waited for the next day to come to talk to Jessica. I am so pissed. Another missed opportunity, when will I get it?
I got early to school and when my eyes laid on Jessica I walked to her quickly.
-"How could you do this to me?" I asked and she looked confused.
-"do what?" She asked.
-"you're seriously pretending?"
She's playing innocent, she really thinks I don't know.
-"you sent me to a bad street and we almost got jumped by a guy!"
-"oh my god, I didn't know, I swear," she said and I rolled my eyes.
-"you texted with the agency. Did you set me up?" I asked and she looked so lost.
-"I would never send you to a bad place"
Christian walked by and he touched Jessica's shoulder.
-"not now, Christian" I raised my hand and he looked at me confused.
-"This is important, I think I know who sent the videos," he said.
-"who is it?" Jessica asked.
-"Mr. Blackburn," he said and Jessica gasped softly.
Our phones went off at the same time.
We received a text from the same sender.
Unknown: Victims from the videos, go to the gym.
-"But I didn't receive a video," I said and Jessica came to a realization.
-"probably the one who sent you the location," Jessica said.
-"could be, I have to find out," I said
-"then let's go, together," Christian said and we went to the gym to see what's about to happen
