7 years ago, Stephen Angeles graduated and majored in Business Management. He started to run his own restaurant named "Stephen's", 2 years after he graduated. His parents passed away when he was in middle school and his childhood friend, Clarence, became his best buddy.

When they reached their second year in College, he met Quim, who was the current transferee at their University.

They became friends and little by little, Stephen started to fall in love with Quim because they used to hang-out every day after class until their last year in College. But for some reason, Quim wasn't able to finish their last semester and needed to transfer to another school. She left without a trace.

Stephen was really sad when she left. He begun to cut classes and spend more time alone in his room.

Thankfully, Clarence was there to watch out for him and force him to attend classes and after a few months, they finally both graduated.

11:15 am, Stephen's Restaurant.

The place is filled with different kind of figurines displayed over the long glass table at the side near the counter.

Paintings of some famous artists are hanged on the wall with an Italian theme wallpaper.

People coming in and out, waiters are busy taking orders from the customer and serving their meals.

We can also hear the phone that keeps on ringing after a few seconds because of the callers requesting for food deliveries.

Stephen was silently eating his lunch when suddenly, his gaze turned to a familiar girl on the table next to his, appreciating the beauty of the sea that can be seen from inside the restaurant.

A waiter walking towards her and brought the meal that she ordered. She mouthed "thank you" while smiling at the waiter.

Stephen quickly turned around when the girl caught him staring. He tried to act as if he was busy with his phone and when the girl started eating, he stood up and walks straight into his office without even finishing his meal.

He tried to remember who the girl is, and when he finally realizes who the girl was, he heaved a sigh and felt his heart beating triple times faster.

"I didn't expect that I would see her again after a long time. I.. don't know what to do." He muttered to himself.

Stephen quickly dialed Clarence's number and told him what he saw but surprisingly, instead of being shocked as him, Clarence just laughed and teases him over the phone that made him frown.

"Are you seriously teasing me right now? Bro, I don't even know what to do and I couldn't even get out of my office because I'm afraid I will accidentally bump into her. " He said while frowning.

"What if she recognizes me? Ugh! " he added.

"Calm down. I'll see you there, alright?"

Stephen closed his eyes for a second and sighed deeply.

" Okay, I'll wait for you here. Let's have a drink at my place and talk about this. Bye."

After a few minutes, Clarence arrived at the restaurant and they gone out immediately to buy some drinks.

6:21 pm at Stephen's house.

The door opens. Stephen and Clarence with a bag of canned beers on his right hand, entered the house, walk towards the living room, and sat on the couch after putting down the canned beers on the round glass table.

"So, what are you going to do now? She's back. Don't you want to meet her again?"

Stephen took the beer out of the bag, opened and gulps it.

"I don't know. I'm still shocked about it. I wanted to see her before but now that I saw her again after 2 years.. I didn't know what to do or what to say to her. "

Clarence heaved a deep sigh. He was trying to understand where Stephen is coming from.

"Well, if I were you, I would be shocked too. I was wondering why she came back though. Why don't we find out? "

"No, I don't want to do that. Let's just let her be. "

After a moment of silence, Stephen handed the beer to Clarence and drank  together. They both sighed heavily.

"How does she look like?"

"She changed. The way she dress, and she smiles more often. She's even more beautiful now. My heart even skipped a beat when I saw her sweet smile. I thought I moved on but all my feelings for her suddenly crawls back into my body. "

Clarence smirks as he put down his beer and tap Stephen's shoulder.

"First love never dies they say."

Stephen threw him a pillow jokingly and he just laughed out loud that annoys his friend more.

"Stop it, you're being corny."

"If I were you, I'll make a move this time."

After finishing a can of beer, he opened another and gulps it.

"I will surely do. Hopefully, it'll go well. I'm afraid of getting hurt for the nth time. "

"I will root for you. Just call me when you need me."

"Okay, thanks bro."

Clarence tried to lift up the mood by playing a soft rock music on his phone. Stephen just looked at him with an arched eyebrows.

"If you wanted to listen to music while drinking, we should've gone to the club than here."

Clarence laughed sarcastically by his joke.

"I'm just trying to lift up the mood with music. Don't joke around."

"Fine. Whatever."

2 hours have passed.

Clarence stood up and decided to go home after finishing his drink.

"I'm leaving, thanks for the drink, Stephen. "

Stephen was a bit drunk and just gave him a nod. He gulps the beer that he was holding.

"Do you think she will accept my feelings?"

"What if she rejects me again?"

Clarence goes silent.

"You'll never know until you try."

Clarence opened the door and closed it behind him. He was left there, worrying about something that is not yet happening.

He chugged down his beer and stood up. He went to his room, throws himself into his king-sized bed, and stared at the ceiling.

He remembered all the memories he had with Quim. Her smiles that captured his heart and her sweet voice that brings melody to his ears.

Suddenly, a memory came up to him. Quim's angelic face earlier at the restaurant, smiling purely at the waiter. He put his hand to his chest and feel his heartbeat. He muttered silently. "Am I going crazy?"

He shook his head and closed his eyes. He fell asleep, dreaming about her for the first time in a while.
