Getting on the first flight he could possibly get to Country A, Nathan practically sped through all of the arrangements he needed to give the Convel Society away to Aspen. As much as he said that he was abdicating immediately, he still couldn't help but at least brief his replacement about the things that needed his immediate attention such as logistics and other pressing matters. But as soon as he was done, he jumped on the nearest private jet he could commission and fly right on over to his waiting mate.
Unfortunately, his arrival had gone off to a rocky start…
"Please, Raine?" Nathan pleaded, almost begging his wife as he stood by the doorway of their current home. "Can you please forgive me?"
He had arrived in front of the house where Raine and her father had been staying for some time now. In fact, almost an hour had already passed, but his wife was still standing by the doorway, barring his entry as she crossed her arms underneath her chest.
