That next day, Raine had dinner with his men while discussing the mission and how they would proceed further.
"He's really good," she commented, seeing as her men were having a hard time planning how to catch their target. Right now, their only lead was that Balon was in Country A and that his next prey would be Cali. That monster was really hard to track, and they could only wait for his cue wherein he would send a black rose to his prey as his calling card.
"We're still not sure if this Edward is truly Balon, but I'll stay close to Cali for now," Raine concluded. Above all else, she had to make sure that Cali would be safe while also not making everyone suspicious of her actions. They still had to keep the existence of the underworld creatures unknown to humans, which meant not acting like they were on the hunt for mythical creatures.
