After the debacle that was them looking through the past and uncovering all the mysteries, Nathan decided that it was time for him to see the woman of the hour.
"You're really going to check on Raine right now?" Davin asked as he trailed behind the King. "I thought you're gonna let her grieve in silence?"
Nathan promptly replied, "Plans change, Davin. This is something that shouldn't be put off lest we actually forget to inform her in the first place." He then sighed, "It's gonna happen one way or another. We might as well rip the band-aid off now."
"Fair enough," Davin shrugged. "Still, how do you think she'd take the news?"
The King merely hummed in response, "I don't know. My memories of her are hazy at best and absolutely nill at worst. If anything, I could only hope that she wouldn't do something drastic enough that it'd undermine both of our positions of leadership."
