Meanwhile, as the fighting went on, Aspen and Danos kept the pressure up as they made sure that the undead horrors were well occupied with fighting them instead of the people outside. Not that the latter cared about the humans, of course, but at least these monstrosities made him put a bit of effort into his attacks.
"These things are hideous as they are fun to hit," Danos chuckled as he brained yet another walking corpse right in the head with his fist. "Too bad we can't bite them."
"They have poison running through their veins," Aspen reminded, his own hands still holding a stray pipe that he picked up to bat away at their enemies. "You're already risking yourself using your fists like that."
"As if they can even think of a proper attack strategy to make use of my openings," Danos scoffed, his outstretched arm still piercing through a zombie's chest even as he spoke. "They're literally brain-dead idiots. The only thing they're good for is dying by our hands."
