Nene Pov
When I was young, my grandmother used to tell me stories before she died. She had a pendant. I asked her about the pendant when I was just five. She told me that it is a very rare and important pendant. It's from a royal family. One day, it will wake up Moon Fairy. It will destroy the seven Dragon Mountains and will make it's own Fairy Mountain. I don't know it's just a story or true. But I think it's just a fairy tale. Such a thing is never possible. Whatever, my grandmother gave me the necklace before she died. Now I am 18 and have the pendant.
I love to fly in the sky. The blue sky is my best friend. I always fly in that sky and talk to everything in the sky. But my mom don't like it. She always tells me not to fly too much. I don't know why but I don't like her word. Because I love to fly high, touch the clouds floating in the sky. It's fairy land. Dragons don't like the fairies. If they see us, they will capture us. So we live a hidden life.
One day at the dinner time, I was having dinner with my family. We were eating our meal and having fun together. Suddenly, we heard some noise from the outside. We heard gunfire. Dad looked out of the window and saw many fairies were running. They were trying to run away to save their lives.
"We have to run away from here." He said fearfully.
"Why dad?" I asked shockingly.
"The Dragon king found the fairy land. They will kill us all. We have to run away." He said tugging my hands. Hearing this my mom got scared too. We left everything and came out of the house. We came out to the street. We ran forward. I saw many houses were burning on fire. Everyone left their house and tried to save themselves. Many children were crying on the street. Maybe they lost from their family. I couldn't do anything just saw. Suddenly, a bullet shot my dad. He left my hand and fall down on the street.
"Dad!" I screamed out kneeling down beside him.
"Nene dear go. You have to live. Go! Nella took your daughter and leave. Run!" He said. My mom took my hands and tugged me with her. I saw her tearful eyes. Suddenly, a vampire blocked our way. I grabbed my mom's hand tightly. The vampire came closer and grabbed my arms. My mom tried to save me but they captured her too.
They took me to a truck and took my mom to the another truck. There were many another girls beside me. They were all the same age as me. I realized they captured 18 year old girls in this truck. The truck starts running. It runs for 40 minutes. Then it stopped. The door opened and the vampire guards pulls us out. I didn't see my mom. She was in the another truck. But I didn't find her. They gather us at a big ground in front of a big dark castle. Everyone had fear in their eyes. Suddenly, a guy came out from the castle. He had blue eyes and blue hair. He seems to be a dragon. If he is a dragon, then he must be the dragon king.
"You stupid fairies. You thought that you can hide from me. Saw, I found you." He said with a creepy smile on his lips. His dangerous eyes scared everyone.
"I can kill you but I won't. I want to punish you harder than death." His words made everyone cry. Everyone got scared on his words.
"Let's start from the children. Guards took the children and cut their fingers." Everyone screamed out with fear. He growls and everyone became silent. The vampire guards took all the children and made a line of them. The children got scared. Some of them were crying. They made the knife for cut their fingers.
" Stop! " I couldn't control myself. My voice made them stop. They looked at the dragon King and he looked at me.
"You can't do this. They are innocent. Please leave them. Don't hurt them. They are little children." I begged fearfully. Hope they will let the children go. He came down the stairs and glared at me.
"Who are you? How dare you? You dared to stop my guards?" He growled low at me.
"Please let them go." I begged made my head down, didn't dare to look at him.
"Let them go? Then let me punish you first." He said gripping my chin hard and made me look at him.
"Guards, take everyone to the jail. I will punish them later. I will punish her first." He said let my chin go and I fall down on the ground. But I relived that he let the children go. The guards took them all to the jail. Just I was in that ground.
"Follow me." He said. I stood up and followed him. We went up the stairs. The door opened. We entered the castle. We walked through the long corridor then I saw another stair. We went up. We stopped in front of a big door. He opened the door. A woman was there. Seeing him, she made her head down.
"Look at this girl. Explain the duty to her. You know her duty, right?" He said to her.
"Ye--Yes." She replied in a trembling voice. Hearing this he walked through the door and closed the door behind him. The woman breathed a sigh of peace.
"Hey unlucky girl, what did you do? Why he wants to give you this punishment?" She said looked at me sadly.
"I just wanted to save those children. Why? What's my punishment?" I asked fearfully.
"Your punishment is so hard. Your duty is from 5am to 3am. It means that you can sleep just for an hour. No one can help you with your duty. You have to do everything by yourself. And if you deny any of his order, then it will be very bad." She said with a sad face. I shocked at her words. How will I do everything all by myself? And I will get just an hour to sleep?" I don't know any work. I didn't do anything before.
