The day passed and sitting in the guestroom at Laszlo's house, Tyler found himself unsure of what to do. Meeting Cagliostro had not gone as anyone had expected, so how was he to know that his introduction to this Rosie Dorrington would be any better? Laszlo said he might like her, but would she like him? What did he even know about this woman? She was a lawyer and the two of them were the same age. Perhaps if he were to sneak off when Laszlo intended to introduce… No! He couldn't do that, wouldn't do that! Laszlo was a family friend, one that he barely knew, but a family friend nonetheless! He was offering to introduce him to Rosie and he couldn't just do turn him down like that.
Walking down the hall to Laszlo's room, Tyler knocked on the door and asked: "You decent, Laszlo?"
"Yeah, come on in, Tyler." Tyler entered the bedroom and saw the older man sitting on his bed, holding a picture in his hand. Tyler didn't need to see it to know that it was of Lazlo's late wife. The older man looked up at his young guest and asked: "What can I do for you, Tyler?"
Taking a seat at the foot of the bed, Tyler inquired: "What can you tell me about Rosie?"
"She was born in South Africa, immigrated here with her father when she was sixteen, lovely girl, likes the museum, the zoo, the science center." Seeing a smile spread across Tyler's ruddy countenance, Laszlo commented: "I see I have caught your interest and yes, she likes the symphony too. She likes the same places in the city you do. The moment your dad called me about getting you a job, I asked what you like and immediately it came to me, I could introduce the two of you! You'll love her, Tyler! It will be love at first sight!"
Tyler was going to comment that there was no such thing, but he had heard of such things happening in real life. He supposed if Laszlo was right then Laszlo was right.
