Chapter 98 - Chapter 98 - Battle of the Divines

"Say ah.", Yuko asked a young child she was examining.

Doing as they were instructed, Yuko was able to get a good look at the back of their throat. Confirming their throat was a little sore, she gave them a shot and some medicine to take for the next few days. Telling them to take two pills a day, one before breakfast and one before dinner, the parents said they would make sure the child did before returning to their tent.

"Everything okay?", I questioned seeing all the notes and samples she had.

"I have the team looking into a few new diseases we discovered, but it's nothing too dangerous at this point.", Yuko said pulling down her mask, "You sure you are are going to be fine?"

"Yep, I have Disease Immunity.", I chuckled giving her a kiss, "How are the initial group of people Grey brought your team? Anything I need to treat with magic?"

"We sewed them up, got them medicine, and made sure to tell them not to overwork themselves.", Kurokawa stated coming out of her tent, "Otherwise they will be back, and we will be operating on them. At this point it was mainly cuts and fractures, but it could get worse if they aren't careful."

"Glad to hear it.", I replied with a smile.

Working with some construction teams, we were already in the process of laying the ground work for the new resident homes. Having drawn up plans for them to follow, the groups were getting the houses built and leaving the roads to me. Giving them a hand, the refugees were more than happy to speed up the process so they could get out of their tents. Looking towards the center of camp I could see Piña giving out orders to the knights. I was happy to see she had regained some of the pep she had before this shit happened.

'Everything would be great...if I didn't have a tail.', I thought with Tyuule a few feet behind me.

Having already told her she didn't need to follow me, she said this was so she could help me if there was a misunderstanding. I had already passed out translator bands so critical people could talk with the refugees, but she still thought I might cause a misunderstanding somewhere. Noticing my problem, Yuko said that it was Divine Punishment for not including them on the maiden trip. Telling me to leave so she could continue her work, I kept wandering around the camp to find something to do.

Spotting Rory and Giselle coming out of a row of tents, I walked over to them to talk. Waving over to Rory, she gave me a happy smile though Giselle looked at me with confusion. I hadn't had a proper conversation with her yet so I hoped that Rory didn't over do it with her bragging.

"This is your husband?", Giselle questioned, "He is a full grown man."

"He is, is something wrong with that?", Rory asked.

"No...", Giselle said seeing Rory's grip on her Halberd tighten, "I was just meaning it is a surprise you called him an Apostle. He feels more like a God than an Apostle."

'She was totally going to throw a jab at Rory by calling her a child.', I thought hiding that behind Poker Face.

"He is one of his Patron Deity's right hand men.", Rory bragged, "His Deity is immensely powerful, to the point that ours likely couldn't beat him."

"Seriously!?", Giselle gasped in shock, "What is your Deity in charge of?"

"Everything, he controls Life, Death, Creation, Decay, and everything else. He oversees infinite worlds to ensure things stay in relative balance.", I lied since I knew calling him the Chief Deity wouldn't cut it with her.

"Impressive, my Goddess is the Goddess of the Underworld and ruler of Hell.", Giselle boasted.

"I...I wouldn't say that too loud.", I warned her, "The guy I know that runs Hell isn't the type to share. Rory mentioned that Hardy is fond of women instead of men so it might cause some fighting...though it would be a quick one."

"The ruler of Hell is weak here?", Giselle questioned.

"No, what he is saying is I would kick her ass.", Lucifer said cutting in as he heard someone was coming for his spot, "Where is this Hardy you are speaking of?"

Having heard someone was trying to call themselves the ruler of Hell, he came to see who was dumb enough to challenge his position. The thought of some lowly Goddess wanting to claim the title of Ruler of Hell really rubbed him the wrong way. Usually it wouldn't, but I assumed based on my interactions with him that he needed to blow off some steam.

"Eek!!", Giselle shrieked jumping into my arms, "Where did you come from!? Who are you!? Are you a Grim Reaper!? I didn't anything to deserve dying here!! Please spare me!!"

"Giselle...", Rory said grabbing her by the face, "Just what do you think you are doing with my husband? You are an Apostle, act befitting of that position!"

Getting down, Rory threw her into the ocean while puffing her cheeks. Coming up a few moments later, Giselle let out a scream as the water was icy cold. Calling Rory a bitch for throwing her into the cold water, she pulled herself out of the water and ran off to get dry and change clothing. Laughing at her, Rory told her she need to cool off anyways.

"Where is this Hardy woman she spoke of?", Lucifer asked me.

"She is a Goddess from their world.", I told him, "She lives on the other side of the GATE, and doesn't usually have a physical form."

"Haha, so she doesn't have a corporal form...we will see about that. I have had up to here with Clark, and I am in need of a way to blow some steam.", Lucifer laughed, "Don't worry though, I won't kill her but you will need to help her mentally when I am done with her. See you in a few days!"

Vanishing from our sight leaving behind the echo of evil laughter, it was quite befitting of the man in charge of Hell. Glancing over to Rory, she wore an equally happy face as she knew Hardy was going to get the stuffing kicked out of her.

"I may not need to borrow the sword now.", Rory said giving me a smile, "If she does come here, she sleeps in the doghouse where she belongs!"

Changing topics, I asked Rory about the other Apostles that should have been in their world. Shaking her head, Rory said they were all dead as far as Giselle was aware of. Several of Davoth had disappeared on multiple occasions so neither Giselle or Rory could be sure if the Gods themselves were still all alive. As far as Hardy and Emroy went, both of them were still alive as Giselle and her still had their blessing. In the event that their patron Deity died for some reason, their blessing would have been dispelled instantly.

Since they weren't entirely sure, I suggested we speak with her about the other places people had gathered. When I brought up the topic of the other settlement locations, Tyuule interjected herself saying she could tell me herself. Giving me a rough estimate of the city sizes, everything lined up with the what my mini map showed me.

"Victor, don't fall for her charms!", Rory complained getting between Tyuule and I, "Warrior Bunnies are known to chase strong men, or men that can cook well. They don't care if the man is married or not, they will chase him down till he accepts them!"

"That isn't always true.", Tyuule stated with a sigh.

"Every Warrior Bunny I have met has told me that is the case. You don't marry weak men, you usually marry a man that can cook well because most of you can't cook, and you prefer strong men to increase the strength of your bloodlines. I knew your former Queen, she was a concubine for one of the Royal Guard prior to her death.", Rory pointed out, "Don't lie to me!"

"After serving under Zorzal do you really think I care about strength? That bastard was a powerful, horn dog who only thought of conquest and mating!", Tyuule remarked, "After being humiliated by him in front of my own tribe, I have no taste for only strong men anymore. I decided I wanted someone with intelligence that could help rebuild my tribe because I can't do it alone. My tribe needs leadership not a war chief...especially since their are so few of us left."

If things had gone the way they were supposed to, she would have killed him...at the expense of her own life. I imagined that watching him die at the hands of the Demons was devastating as she so badly wanted to be the one to do it. That said, it was good to see that she wasn't as far gone as the anime portrayed her. She still had some sense about her, and was thinking things through carefully.

Asking her how many of her tribesmen were left, she told me one hundred were left though initially it was over five hundred before Zorzal's attack. Nodding my head, I said if they didn't like the cold winter weather I could take them somewhere warmer. Telling me it didn't bother them, she did request winter clothing as the clothing they had wouldn't cut it.

Speaking of that, we would need to address that for everyone here has they had much milder winters where they were from. With that in mind, I gave her a map of the local area and marked several places her people could hunt to gather furs to make the clothing they wanted. Thanking me Tyuule immediately left to organize her people. With her gone, I could finally head back home for the day.

"Can I come with you?", Rory asked with a naughty smile, "We haven't had any alone time yet.

"Sure, I can agree with that.", I chuckled.

---A Few Minutes Later---

Plopping down on our couch, Rory took a seat on my lap to relax. Leaning back into me she let out a sigh of relief.

"I take it you had a lot to deal with?", I questioned already knowing the answer.

"Lots of people asking me questions about if their loved ones made it to the other side, and if life will be better here.", Rory told me, "It's part of my job as an Apostle to answer the questions, but it gets tiring when so many people ask the same questions over and over. They must think the answer will change depending on who asks it."

"Sometimes gods like to play tricks on mortals, at least in this world anyways, so I can understand it a little. That said, leaving you and Giselle to answer the questions is rough.", I chuckled, "Hopefully we can push that job onto Hardy, if Lucifer leaves anything of her behind."

"It is difficult, but...", Rory said turning around with a smile, "I can think of a way you can help me. Could I borrow you for a bit?"

"We do have some time.", I replied looking at the clock, "I think I can squeeze in a few hours.

"Good, I have been waiting for the for a long time.", she remarked grabbing my arm, "Come on!"

Pulling me to the bedroom, Rory used her Halberd to block the door. Getting stripped down, she pulled me into the bed with a playful smile. Straddling my face, she leaned forward and got to work mimicking how the others did it. Pleasuring each other for a while, eventually Rory was ready for it.

Since Rory was a lot tougher than the others, I was comfortable with being rougher with her. Plunging into her, she nearly fainted from the sudden movement. Feeling her insides grip me like a compactor, I let out a pleasant sigh before moving. Grabbing her by the neck, I made sure not to put too much pressure on her. That said, Rory was loving every moment of it.

Seeing her eyes roll back into her head, her breathing became ragged as my sac kept smacking her butt. Making her take my full length made her flop out with utter relief. As she slowly collected herself, she begged me to keep going. Wrapping her legs around me, she was using her full strength to keep me there. If Itami had slept with her at the inn that night, he would have died almost certainly.

Breaking out of her hold, I went for another position where she laid on her stomach while I laid on top of her. Putting her headlock as I continued moving she grabbed my arms panting heavily and moaning loudly. Making her climax a few times for me, I kept going till I was ready to climax myself. Feeling it coming, Rory wanted to kiss me while I did so and I granted her request. Filling her up while kissing her, she climaxed with me and almost fainted again as she shivered violently.

"We...aren't...done...", she panted looking at me seductively.

"Oh I know we aren't, you weren't getting away till you are passed out.", I chuckled with a twisted smile.

Giving me a devilish smile, she wholeheartedly approved so we kept going till dinner.
