Chapter 90 - Chapter 90 - The Threat

Carrying the kids and elderly with telekinesis, the kids took turns spinning each other around. Telling them to stop that, I told them they were only going to make themselves puke. Laughing at one another for a while as they ignored my warning, eventually they stopped when they got too dizzy. Shaking my head I told them I wasn't responsible if they puked, and I wasn't cleaning it up. Telling me they didn't feel so good, I told them to suck it up because I had warned them not to spin each other around.

"Such a good man.", the one elderly woman laughed, "Which one of you lovely ladies is his wife?"

"All of us are ma'am.", Cammy told her with a smile.

"Oh my goodness, did you hear that Dorothy!?", she giggled.

"Young men these days.", Dorothy tsked, "Back in our day a young man was sweet on a single woman. Now all of you want to play around with multiple women. Just because the world is coming to an end doesn't mean you can just do as you please. You should still have your morals, and another thing..."

'Maybe this wasn't the best idea...', I thought tuning out the lecture the old woman was giving me.

Snickering at me, my lovers found the interaction hilarious as they knew I wouldn't do anything to hurt an old lady. Sighing I told them to not make it worse than it already was, but that didn't register with them. Patting me on the back, Rika told me that I was strong enough to endure this emotional damage. Wanting to smack her butt hard enough to make her squeal, I resisted the urge to do so because of the kids close by.

"This evening you are going to pay for this.", I told her telepathically.

Smiling in response she gave me a wink, and kept focus on the street in front of us. Keeping a casual pace till we rejoined the others, we found them helping people board the transport.

"Seems like you made it out alright.", Ken said with smile.

"Did you doubt us?", Chun-Li questioned pretending to take offense to that.

"No, it just seems like you got done pretty quick.", he replied sighing at her poor acting.

"Victor reduced most of them to ash.", Sayo stated hitting my shoulder, "He's such a kill joy!!"

"I did it because it made the children uncomfortable. Don't complain about me trying to make children feel safe.", I refuted, "So drop it."

"When you say it like that...it makes it sound like I am the bad person here.", Sayo complained hitting me again.

"You kind of are.", Oriha teased.

Smacking her upside the head, Sayo told her to shut it. Sticking her tongue out, Oriha told her she was being a jerk. Stopping them before they started brawling, I asked them to please maintain a professional attitude. Begrudgingly accepting my request, they said they would settle it later on.

"You found more survivors?", the leader of the group we were helping asked, "Where did you find them?"

"Across the street from the farming supply store. Do you happen to have a teacher in your group by chance? These kids said their teacher left a few weeks ago, and never came back.", I said.

"If it was in that area, they probably got taken by Old Gus...", he replied.

"Old Gus?", Saeko inquired, "Whose that?"

Prior to the Apocalypse he was apparently some old guy living out in the woods. He was superstitious and a conspiracy theorist to boot, he was the sort of person that believed that planes sprayed citizens with chemicals that made them submissive to the government. When the shit hit the fan and people didn't know where to turn, he stepped in and took control. He basically used people's fear to make them follow him, and now he was something of a cult leader.

"In a nutshell, once the most broken people fell in line they started grabbing people off the streets.", he told us, "Gus has somehow managed to control the Undead, and his followers treat him like he's the second coming of Christ."

"Sounds like a creep to me.", Miu stated.

"He is, he will go to great lengths to break a person. If all else fails he feeds them to his pets.", he shivered, "We have had a run in with his people before, and they are savages. The only reason we went by the farming supply store was because we saw a military vehicle roll in."

"I see...", I said glancing over at Maya and Saeko, "Once we clean up the mess heading for the base, we will do a night raid on them."

Nodding their heads the women agreed to it. Telling me they wanted in, the other members of our team said they wanted to assist.

"You want to die kid?", the man questioned me, "Going up against Old Gus is a suicide."

"No need to worry, he can handle it.", Lelei assured him, "It's them that needs to worry."

"I mean...you did fight that horde off so you might stand a chance.", he agreed.

It was clear he was unaware of our feats, otherwise he wouldn't be saying that.

"Hehe, oh we will give it to them real good.", Oriha said rubbing her plasma cannon.

"Oriha...remember to pay attention to where you are aiming that thing...", Yuko scolded her.

"I know...I still remember what happened...", Oriha replied remembering training a few weeks back.

At that time she got a bit carried away with target practice and almost took out the bridge between the mainland and the settlement. She pissed off a lot of people, and I had to deal with the aftermath. Sayo, Yuko, and Mikoto made sure she understood that she had to be careful moving forward. I had to spend three evenings specifically training her to aim properly because of the recoil the weapon had.

Getting the civilians loaded up, I opened a portal in front of the truck which put us a mile away from the base. Telling my team to be ready, I said we would be showing up to another horde at the base. Skeptical of my senses, Arpeggio decided to question my statement.

"How can you be so sure?", Arpeggio questioned.

"It's best to just trust him.", Lelei told her, "I don't understand it either, but he has very sharp senses. He has always been able to accurately provide details such as the number of enemies, their direction, and even what type they are."

"I see, excuse me Victor you wouldn't be happen to be in the market for a brilliant mage would you?", Arpeggio asked me.

Sighing Lelei told her sister now wasn't the time to be asking me questions like that. Saying that most of my wives were sitting in the back with them, she glanced around and noticed the sharp eyes staring her down.

'I feel like a small children locked in here with Chimera's...', she thought.

As the base came into view, the horde that had come from the south started to appear. Seeing them pushing up against the walls, we saw the defenders lobbing grenades down at them along with using flame throwers to prevent them from climbing to high. Telling Guile to stop, I told him to stay with the truck I ordered the other fighters out.

"You aren't snapping them away this time?", Sayo questioned as she got out, "I would like to stretch more than just a few minutes."

"No, it appears this group has a Demon leading it. I am not showing my hand when his boss could be watching.", I said, "Focus on kiting the horde from the walls, I am going after the leader."

Vanishing from their sight, Juri snickered with approval.

"I have to say Chun-Li, you picked a pretty slick guy.", Juri stated.

"Juri...you should know Victor isn't the type of guy to let women come and go out of his life. If you pursue this, you are stuck with him.", Chun-Li replied as they approached the horde.

"Maybe he will be the one I stick with.", Juri remarked.

"I bet $50 you are gone in a week.", Cammy jabbed.

"Serious!?", Juri shouted.

"Consider this payback for Madrid.", Cammy responded, "I haven't forgotten you knocking me off that building."

"I apologized several times for that, why are you still holding it against me!", Juri questioned.

"Maybe if you didn't laugh afterwards I would think you meant it.", Cammy fumed.

"I have to say though...", Juri stated, "Do you look similar after a night with him? I mean you did fall into a donut truck, and-"

"You ever retell that story to anyone, I will end you. It isn't funny, and you know damn well it wasn't. Not only that it wasn't a donut truck...it was a creampuff stall.", Cammy growled.

"Oh so scary.", Juri mocked.

Telling them to stop, Yoko said they had a job to do and that acting like they were five wasn't helping. Agreeing to stop for now, they focus on the Undead in front of them. Making noise to draw them away some of the Undead did start to break away from the group, but most stayed at the walls.

"Seriously...", Terry said, "Usually these things would all come over."

"I think Victor was right about a Demon controlling them.", Maya remarked bisecting one in half, "Normally making a lot of noise would draw them over here. The fact they are being so stubborn likely means that someone is wanting to get in."

"Well if they won't come to us!", Oriha laughed pointing her rocket launcher at them, "I will force them to come here!!"

"Here we go...", Yuko sighed.

"Haha!!", she laughed during several rockets off into the horde.

Detonating on impact groups of undead blew to pieces spraying blood everywhere. After the fifth impact the horde recognized them as a threat, and shifted their focus on them. Charging towards them before anyone could stop her, the group looked exhausted already.

"How about we make a plan next time...", Karin grumbled, "What was your next step after getting their attention? Do you even have more rockets?"

"It's okay, Victor has more missiles for me.", Oriha stated, "Victor, I need more...oh right..."

Having forgotten her husband wasn't there, she gave them an apologetic smile. Saying she got caught up in the moment, Sayo smacked her on the head again.

"We are going to have another talk tonight.", Mikoto told her starting to fire on them.

With the horde barreling down on them, the team spread out to give each other enough room to maneuver safely. Making sure they had their protective equipment on to prevent cuts and scraps, everyone started fighting desperately to hold them back. Within in a few minutes they were in deadlock with the Undead with neither side gaining any ground.

Preoccupied with control of its puppets, the Demon failed to notice me approach. Walking up behind it, I could hear it talking to Davoth through a communication device. Listening to their conversation, it appeared they were looking for me on the battlefield. Pumping my shotgun once, the Prince of Hell froze instantly realizing I was behind him. Putting the barrel of the gun into the middle of its back, I motioned for it to hand me its communicator. Handing it to me, I blew it's chest out as I put it to my ear.

"So we finally talk Davoth.", I said, "I can't believe you still think you can take over my world."

"The False Slayer, you have gotten far stronger than I expected.", Davoth stated, "That meteor shower you caused was powerful, but if it is all you have you are not my equal. Doing something like that is child's play with my power and my pawns."

"Your equal?", I remarked with a snicker, "You must be too proud or an idiot to think we are equals. Both of us know how this is going to Davoth. If you leave my world and the other one now, I will let you go. Just go home and continue living. Continuing this fight will only end up with you under my boot."

Laughing at that he said I was the one being an idiot now. The die had been cast, there was no going back now. He was Hell bent on taking everything he could out of some misplaced since of revenge against his creator. Davoth wanted others to suffer like his people had.

"These two worlds are not the only ones to fall under my heel. Many Heroes have tried to stand in my way, but they all met their end by my hands.", he stated.

"I am not a Hero, and you haven't met anyone like me.", I replied.

"A young boy with a shield said the same thing.", Davoth snickered, "I admit he and his party fought hard, but it was useless in the end."

'Is he referring to Naofumi?', I thought, 'He said boy so it's not what's her face, it has to be him. Poor guy, he got really fucked over in that world. Not only did that bitch of a Princess ruin his reputation, he had to deal with this fucker and he couldn't even really fight him.'

"I have one last offer for you.", Davoth told me, "Serve me, and you can have all the women you want. You can have a Sultan's Harem, and rule your own world under me."

"Fuck off, your way of doing that involves taking billions of lives.", I spat in disgust, "I am not my father, I don't take pleasure in causing the suffering of millions. When I acquire the power to jump between the worlds, I can find and court any woman I want. Why would I need sleazebag like you to help me with that, you turned your realm into literal Hell."

"Very well, I wonder if you can really protect all your lovers.", he chuckled, "That klutzy blonde...she is wide open."

All the humor I had froze over as I became serious. The surrounding area sunk as my anger boiled over as he threatened to harm Shizuka.

"...lay an atom on my wives, and there won't be a world you can hide from me. I will hunt you down, drag you to the Pits of the real Hell, and let the Demons there tear you apart for all eternity. My family is off limits Davoth, a bastard like you doesn't understand the value of family nor what a man will do to protect them. That meteor shower wasn't even a warm up...", I said in an icy tone, "I will take you and that red armor, and crush you like a soda can."

"How do you know about that!?", he shouted, "That armor is-"

"This isn't your game Davoth...it's mine and you play by my rules.", I growled, "Even in Jekkad you aren't out of my reach."

Crushing the communicator after using it pin point his exact location, I headed back to the battlefield. I was in a sour mood now, someone had the balls to threaten my family and I would make an example out of them. As I approached the battlefield my group was gaining on the Undead as without the Demon leading them they were running on instinct alone.

Walking towards the Undead, they switched their target to me. Davoth was probably just doing it to annoy me even more, and it worked. Putting my helmet in storage, I summoned Excalibur and pulled it from it's scabbard. Feeling the Divine Energy radiating off the sword the Undead stopped dead in their tracks as their survival instinct kicked in. With Excalibur in my left hand, Durendal in my right hand, and Gjallarhorn held with my teeth the Undead were frozen in fear as just touching one of the swords was enough to damn near kill them permanently.

"Can he even fight like that?", Zangief questioned, "I haven't seen a fighting style that uses swords in that-"

"Those Heroic Swords!!", Boze's Grandfather cut him off from within his scabbard, "Where did he get them!! Those are legendary weapons that only Legendary Kings wielded."

"Grandfather is something wrong?", Bozes questioned.

"That one in his left hand, that is the legendary sword that bestows the right to rule to it's wielder!!", he shouted, "The First Emperor wielded and he used it to build the Empire!! It was said to be lost centuries ago, just where did he get it!!"

Watching the blades start to spin at a rapid pace, everyone suddenly felt like they should back away. Doing just that they gave me space, but the Undead didn't even move as they were frozen in fear.

"Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Seka!!", I said moving faster than anyone could see.

Reappearing behind the horde, it took everyone a second or two to register that I had moved. Watching from his watchtower, Captain Ford was watching closely to see what would happen. Hearing the eerie silence that followed, the only thing that broke up that was when I sheathed the swords. As Gjallarhorn was put back in it's scabbard, the Undead exploded into a sea of nastiness.

Sending bits flying every which way they peppered the walls and let at sea of blood that covered the area. Not a single Undead survived the attack, and there was very little left to show that the horde had ever been there. Dropping his binoculars, Ford stared at the scene in utter shock.

"My god...", Ford stated, "Seeing it on a monitor doesn't do what he does justice..."

"...agreed...", his secretary gulped.

"Ford, we brought survivors and supplies from the city.", I shouted at him, "You going to open the damn gate?"

"R...right!", he said, "Let me get the gate, just a moment."
