Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 - Heading Out

Getting a shower to rinse off the zombies bits from our bodies, I got a peek at everyone in my group. Seemingly fine with being seen by me, Sayo went out of her way to stand next to me as we showered. Scrubbing my back for me, she purred like a kitten as she washed me off.

"So that monster was another mutant?", Saeko asked me.

"No, I think it was genetically engineered. From what I observed it was part machine, and was being remotely managed from another location. When I pushed it too far, they released the safeties and maxed out the power they could get from it. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just a test run.", I answered.

"I didn't see any drones this time.", Saya commented.

"The transceiver was in the monster.", I reminded her, "That's why they were staying as close as possible to it."

"Does this change your plans?", Rei inquired.

"No, we still need to get out of here. If they gathered any data on the fight, they will use it improve the next one. I say we get some tissue samples, and let the Black Label team come up with something.", I stated.

"We can handle that.", Yuko agreed, "That was pretty sexy out there, you certainly know how to show off."

Laughing at that comment, I said it was a necessary thing to protect everyone. Telling them that I would do what was necessary to protect them, I got a kiss on the cheek from all of them.

"You know kid, you ain't all that bad.", Yoko said, "I had you figured for either an egomaniac or asshole...I am happy to say you are neither."

"I can't believe you had that low of an opinion of me!", I pretended to be offended.

"Meh, don't be such a baby.", she jabbed, "Either way, you have impressed me."

"Enough for you to join me?", I questioned.

"Enough to say I am fond of you.", Yoko remarked, "I am not as easy as my sister."

"I am not an easy woman!", Yuko snapped.

"You made yourself a reward, I think that makes you easy. In the end it wasn't that difficult for him to make you his woman.", Yoko pointed out with a smirk.

"I think you a remedial lesson in respecting your older sister.", Yuko retorted.

"Bring it!", Yoko stated.

"Both of you cut it out...safe your energy for dealing with the monsters.", I sighed.

Laughing at them, I felt Sayo's breasts jiggle on my back. It was a heavenly sensation, and it was a very nice way to relax. Before long though, Sayo brought up a topic.

"You have to teach me how you control your power!", Sayo told me, "I can't do it, but you had no issues."

"Haha, we can definitely work on it.", I replied, "It would be great if you could control it."

Feeling her hands massaging my crotch, I glanced back her. I expected her to be a bit more bold, but this level of boldness was ridiculous. Telling her we could have fun later, she tuned me out and focus on what she held. Realizing she wasn't going to listen, I pulled her around for a kiss.

"Calm down, we will have plenty of time this evening.", I whispered to her, "I'd rather make our first time a bit more special than just being in a locker room."

"I...I can't help it...", she complained, "My body feels like it's on fire."

Leaning in close, I gave her ear a nibble.

"I know you can hear me, Other You. Keep it under control, and I promise to find a place just for you and I tonight. You'll be able to go hog wild without worry.", I purred.

Sending a shiver of utter pleasure down her spine, the urges subsided. Feeling that happen, Sayo looked at me for an answer.

"It would appear your other personality lives in your subconscious.", I told her, "So long as it plays ball, I am more than will to play rough with you both. For you I will treat you like a Queen, for your other self...I will make sure to take all that aggression you got."

Watching half of her face curl up with a twisted smile, her other personality really liked that idea. Calming down for now, she gave me a kiss on the lips and let me wash her back. Once we were all free of dried, infected blood we got changed and went out to assist the rebuilding. As one of the few welders in the stadium, I was put in charge of making new perimeter barrier around the entrance.

Moving cars around, I got them stacked up and welded together before using some of the leftover beams they had as reinforcements. The remaining supports were made of the bent I-beams that I had to manually bend back to shape. Once everything was the way I wanted I went back inside to see how the storm door repairs were going.

Finding them standing their trying to figure out how to do this, I gave them a sigh. Telling them to grab supports, I said I would do this myself as none here had the skill set for this. Getting the door lifted back into place, I chiseled out dozens of spots in both the wall and door frame. Taking rebar they had, I used it to tie the door back into the structure.

Watching the military people take notes of what I was doing. It was irritating that I was the only engineer they had here...they were literally using maintenance staff to keep things running and functional. Judging by how some of the survivors were looking at me, it appeared they thought I would be staying here.

'Are they mad!? We are only postponing the inevitable. They need to get off the island, I killed maybe three thousand zombies...that is hardly a dent in the full number on the island now. Those things are going to evolve more, and overwhelm this place. If we hadn't pointed out the fact they were towering up the wall, they'd be dead right now.', I thought.

"Can't really blame them.", Midna told me, "A few minutes later, and the dead would have been devouring the survivors and troops. If this was pre-apocalypse they would have been fearful of you, but right now you are their hope. Fact is they watched the military fold under pressure, and your presence kept them alive. They hope you will stay, and protect them like a shepherd."

"Ain't nobody got time for that! Umbrella isn't going to take this loss sitting down. This is the time to flee damn it!! Get off the island, find a safe place to setup a shelter, and then start helping people. You need to have food, water, and shelter for people in advance.", I responded telepathically, "The military staff here aren't even making plans to move to a military base!! This stadium was designed as a shelter from monsoons, it isn't setup to defend well at all."

"Ugh...you keep saying that about the way others think.", she groaned, "People are terrified they won't see tomorrow. If you weren't in the picture your group wouldn't have gotten to where they were. They are just kids, they didn't have your prior life experience and knowledge. You know what to expect, they don't. You have spent this entire life preparing for this, they were just living their normal lives."

"I can't just tell them that most of the world's population is going to die. You know that would cause them all to panic, and lose it.", I sighed, "If I told them that most people would just give up, and kill themselves if they were in Namiyo's state. Telling them how twisted the world gets would only serve to destroy the little hope I have brought them."

"So grouchy.", Midna jabbed with a smirk.

"What was that!?", I snapped wanting to grab her.

"Only you can see me big guy, if you tried to grab people would think you are losing it. Hehe!!", she mocked knowing what I was thinking, "Besides, you couldn't hurt cute little old me. I am a poster girl, a beauty, a-"

"I am starting to wish I had Paimon.", I remarked.

"You take that back!! I am 10 times the guide that brat is!!", Midna boasted, "That little girl would always be hiding behind you, and never be useful at all!"

Snickering at that response, she floated over and started hitting me on the head. Since she was so small, I barely even registered the hits infuriating her even more. Eventually she puffed her cheeks out, and dove into my shadow as I finished putting up the quick drying cement. It would be a few days, but eventually the door would be securely back in place without the need for supports.

"Good job.", the Commander told me with a grateful nod, "Most of engineers we had were pulled to other projects around Tokyo, and we haven't been able to contact them. If you want, we would be more than happy to take all of your group in."

Asking to speak with him and his second command, I told them we would walk and talk. Once we were a safe ways off, I told them that we had no intention of staying here. Pointing out the danger of staying in Tokyo, I wanted them to understand the danger they were putting themselves in. Todays victory was one battle, the war was still going on and Umbrella would be back.

"This is our homeland, we can't abandon it!", Chikako snapped, "We were born and raised here, an outsider like you wouldn't understand the-"

"Cut the nationalism crap with me! You know damn well you have limited ammo, and resources! Even if they don't get in here you will starve!", I spat, "You have to understand that help isn't coming! You have to rely on each other, and start preparing for the long haul. Staying here is too dangerous, you have too many entrances to cover, too many weak points, and not enough manpower to protect it all! If we left like we planned today, you all would have have died! All of you need to get that through your heads!! This isn't a normal enemy that you fight in a conventional war, these things could be the very people you love and cherish."

"We understand that, and believe me...all of us know the cost of continuing to fight.", Hasegawa said looking at a photo of his family in his pocket.

"I...I am sorry.", I responded, "I get you are proud of your nation, but there won't be a country left if you stay here. If you choose to stay here, that is your choice. I have over a hundred people relying on me to get them to safety. Our safety lies in the ocean, we are taking a ship and going out to sea."

Understanding my point of view as well, the Commander shook my hand and thanked me for risking my life for them. Rejoining my group, I saw Rika speaking with Yoko and Yuko. Judging by their reactions they had been friends a lot longer than they had initially told me. Approaching them, they turned to look at me with a smirk.

"So you're the boy Little Shizuka talks about all the time.", Rika asked dropping her bag at her feet, "I am coming back with you, Shizuka and Yuko are the closest thing to family I got so I am coming with."

"Fine by me, always reassuring to have a sniper in the group.", I replied with a nod, "If no one has told you, we paid your house a visit and took some guns and other items."

"No biggie, I figured Shizuka might go there. If you hadn't shown up I would have made a mad dash for my place.", she chuckled, "You ready to get going?"

"Right, we need to get back.", Saeko agreed.

Getting back on the bus, I drove us back to base.

---Home Base---

Explaining the situation to the group, I said we would leave tomorrow morning as it was too late to make any progress today. Telling them to rest up, we would be leaving at 9am tomorrow instead of 10am. Taking this opportunity to take stock of my new shiny ability, I went into my system and clicked on Saya's name to see what I could see.

'Son of a bitch...the numbers are different now.', I thought.

"What did you expect, you have a skill to look at it now. The numbers you were seeing before were based solely on how you interpreted the individual.", Midna huffed.

"Hold on...", I said looking at Saeko.

"See those skills? Those are skills she hasn't quite learned yet that she picked up from being around you. While you can't purchase, and give them skills...you can train them and add the skill when it becomes available for them.", Midna said, "Each individual in your group will have different skill sets, and it's up to you to help them hone them. Their skills function just like yours, maxing them to Rank 10 won't make them a Master. It's also important for you to know...a Rank 10 for them isn't a Rank 10 to you. They have to function within the limits of humanity, you don't."

"I assumed that, but that you for the clarification.", I told her with a smile turning to Namiyo.

"Oh shit...", I thought.

"Yeah, good luck removing those debuffs!", Midna teased, "You can do it, it will just take a long time."

Noticing my stare, she gave me a smile and made a kissy face. Seeing the true extent of her debuffs, I felt like I should have pushed back a bit more but I owed it to her now to help her.

"Hey Midna, if I were to knock a girl up...the view would show me that?", I inquired.

"Yes.", she told me.

Checking all the women I slept with, I was relieved that none of them were pregnant. Deciding to get some fresh air I went onto the roof to relax. Looking at the mini map, I looked at the undead and Umbrella personnel movements. Having made sure to get tissue samples, the Black Label scientists were already hard at work re-engineering the formula used to make it. When they got close to completion I intended to help steer it away from Zombie Formula to Super Soldier Formula. My theory was that if people were inoculated with the Super Soldier Serum, the regeneration factor would kill off the zombie virus laying dormant in everyone.

Sitting there in peace, Sayo ended up joining me. Laying herself on me, I could see that her inner monster was waiting on me to make my move. Seeing no reason to put it off, I decided to make an excuse to slip away for a few hours. Telling the group Sayo and I were going to clear the roadways for the trip tomorrow Yuko and Yoko shot me a naughty smirk knowing exactly what I was planning.

Leaving the base behind, we did move vehicles out of the street for a few blocks before heading out for our real goal. Going to one of the Love Hotels I had frequented with Rei, I knew the place was well maintained and clean. No one was in the building or within half a mile of us so I was content to make our first time here.

Taking her too the luxury suite, she gave me a satisfied smile as she looked the place over. Checking to see if the emergency power still worked, I was happy to see that some of the lights in the room came on when I tried to the switches. Giving me a playful smile, Sayo kissed me as she unbuttoned her top.

"Now now.", I purred holding her tightly, "You don't need to hold back you other personality. I want to have a conversation with it, if you don't mind."

"But you said-"

"I will, but I also want to make sure we don't have any outbursts while we travel. The two of you need to get along, and work together. If you two can work as one, I guarantee that almost nothing can stop you.", I whispered.

Understanding my point, she let her mental guards down so the monster could come out.
