Chereads / Spitfire: My Untold Story / Chapter 45 - Halloween 1of2

Chapter 45 - Halloween 1of2

October 31st

Spitfire stood nervously looking in the mirror,

gazing at all his flaws and the visible scars left above his lips

from when they were threaded shut,

they were rough, scarred over pale pink,

He was embarrassed by those injuries but had to live with such.

"Hey, babe, Call me if anything goes wrong," Beau says concerningly,

he was sitting on the couch when Spitfire traveled out of the bathroom.

Spitfire smiles, leaning down to give Beau a Soft kiss, leaving a red stain in the shape of lips on Beau's cheek, "I will, Beau... but nothing is going to go wrong... I'm sure everything will be fine." he reassures him about this first.

Beau nods, "I'll be here... I need to start making that new batch...

maybe you can help this evening when you get home?"

"Maybe... it depends when I get home... my family always go all out for Halloween," Spitfire says, with a yawn following, he grabbed a syringe with a sharp needle, sliding it under his skin on his forearm,

he was run down and tired from touring, but a quick dosage always helped.

"Well..." Beau says and stood, "Love you." He grins.

Spitfire smiles comfortably, lying down the syringe, "Happy Halloween, Beau Beau Bear." he says, grabbing his jacket walking over to the door, glancing back to Beau, blowing him a kiss.

Beau beams, reaching out as if he caught the kiss, holding it to his mouth, "Love you!" he answers, watching Spitfire shut the front door gently.

...............................................

At Buddy's mansion ~~ "Halloween celebration."

"Hey, can you help me balance the punch and walk it over to the table?" Buddy says happily, asking his brother, Adam, for help.

Buddy always goes all out for Halloween,

he had a pink nose painted on, a few whiskers on his cheeks,

and a black suit with a tail, like a usual yearly Halloween party,

he was a black cat.

Adam helped Buddy move the large container of swishing red fruit punch inside onto the table,

Adam didn't care much for Halloween, and knowing his Son, Spitfire, is coming to visit for the first time in months,

he wasn't in the greatest mood,

but faked it considerably well, putting a smile on walking away from Buddy.

Brooke encounters Buddy from behind, "Buddy." She says,

Shine her daughter on her hip, dressed up like a princess,

with a tiara and a long blue dress, Buddy turns around to face Brooke, "Can you watch Shine?.... I'm going to go get ready for the party later on." Brooke explains.

Buddy smiles, "Of course... I'm always looking for an extra pair of hands."

Brooke grins, setting Shine down on the floor.

Shine was an adorable blonde-haired little girl with bright brown eyes

and chubby cheeks, opposites to Spitfire, who was fourteen years older.

Buddy put three-year-old, Shine to easy work

when the doorbell from the outside made a ringing sound,

Buddy dropped what he was doing and walked over to the door swiftly, Opening it... seeing Spitfires standing, looking in.

"Spitfire... why didn't you just come in?" Buddy leaps to hug Spitfire tightly, smiling from ear to ear.

Spitfire laughs as he hugged Uncle Buddy back before letting go,

"I'm sorry... I wasn't thinking, " he grins, "Not much has changed on the outside." Spitfire looked around at the patio wrapping around the deck.

Buddy answers, "Come inside... it's still early... you can help decorate for the party tonight."

Spitfire nods, stepping inside,

flashbacks of the tall ceilings and castle-like sculpted walls

made Spitfire nervous.

As he walked further into the house,

The massive stairway starred him in the eyes,

he quickly walked by and into the dining room,

running directly into Brooke.

Spitfire put his head down and stayed silent,

standing in front of Brooke,

she finally spoke.

"Have you met your sister?"

"No," Spitfire says.

"You should... she loves you," Brooke smirks happily, "And she hasn't even met you, " Brooke says softly, placing a hand on his shoulder "S-spitfire,"

Spitfire met eyes with her when she finished what she was going to say,

"Welcome back," Brooke says, her red fingernails on Spitfire's black shirt off of his shoulder.

Spitfire nods, his dark eyelashes meet as he connects them, answering... "Thank you... W-where's D-dad?"

"he's upstairs..." Brooke says plainly,

glancing up the stairs, "He'll be down in a minute, I'm sure... first,

follow me, Shine wants to meet you." Brooke says happily,

grasping onto Spitfire's wrist pulling him to follow,

She leads him into the front room,

There sits a little girl dressed up for the party tonight, and no sign of Buddy like usual "Shine... Honey, I want you to meet Spitfire... your brother." Brook smiles, picking her up off the ground.

Spitfire starred into another set of dark eyes, Shines being much more innocent than his own, "H-hello." He says in a soft voice, "It's nice to meet you."

Shine giggles grabbing ahold of Spitfires' hand, her tiny fingers tightly grasped onto Spitfires elegant painted nails, "I saw you on TV." she says in a child's voice.

Spitfire nods, he was a bit speechless while his mind raced...

He was told that Adam, his father, and Brooke had adopted a daughter, but nothing Adam does is from the bottom of his heart and for good intentions.

Spitfire answers, "What's your favorite song then?" he says,

kindly bending down to look Shine in the eyes.

"Come along... I think it's funny." Shine giggles.

"I like that one also." Spitfire answers, standing back up to look to Brooke, "Are you married yet?"

Brooke blushes as she answers, "Nah... your dad said he wanted to wait for a little bit.... I've been planning though, I want my wedding to be memorable."

"Marriage is overrated," Spitfire says slowly,

pausing as he saw movement behind Brookes big ginger hair,

Spitfires heart jumped in his throat as he noticed it was Adam coming down the stairs,

his heart raced as his hands shook,

and catching his wind seemed to be an impossible task.

Spitfire watched with no blinks as Adam walked causally over to Brooke and Shine, Adam stood for a few minutes gawking at Spitfire, looking at his shoes, up to his pants, then his shirt, Spitfire just stood silently as he felt he was being interviewed by his father...

Spitfire wasn't sure what to say, After all,

that was the man who stitched his mouth shut.
