[-IN THE THRONE ROOM OF THE ALPHA KING-]
After the heated discussion to who should be the heir to the throne of the Alpha King, the assembly concluded with him putting out three candidates as his heir to the throne.
"Your Highness, Prince Kratos has finally arrived…" one of the royal guards announced to the Alpha King.
Prince Kratos was escorted by his Beta and made his way to his father.
"Why have you sent for me father?" Prince Kratos did not waste any time and asked directly.
Only the Alpha King and his most trusted general were present in the throne room aside from Prince Kratos and his beta.
"There has been slight changes to my plans. You are one of the candidates for becoming my heir to the throne," the Alpha King told his eldest son.
Beta Gavin was surprised at the decision and intended plan of the Alpha King because it was something that was not discussed with the royal prince.
His astonishment and amusement was more apparent than his own Alpha.
"Your Highness…" Beta Gavin whispered in his surprise regarding the information disclosed to them.
Unlike his Beta, Prince Kratos was not ecstatic to hear the news from his father. Instead, he was confused about it.
"Why? For what reason? The queen's children has a better claim over me," Prince Kratos asked.
"You are my eldest son after all. Even though we do not see eye to eye, amongst my children, you deserve the right to become my heir," the Alpha King was passionate with his own decision and belief.
He continued to explain to his eldest son, "The kingdom needs the best and I would like to have the most competent heir to my throne. And you have proven to be the most capable amongst your sibling, besides from being the eldest."
A momentary pause and serious thinking occupied the entire atmosphere of the throne room.
"I think it will only cause chaos and discord within the royal palace. It will create dispute amongst the royal siblings if you incite competition," Prince Kratos expressed his genuine concern to his father.
He further elaborated the brewing chaos amongst the regions as well. Convincing his father that his attention must focus on their kingdom's security and welfare instead of deciding on his heir.
The Alpha Prince gave an impressive recommendation of working with hunters instead of fighting against them. Especially with the growing concerns on regional stability.
"You are truly like your mother. Your concern for the welfare of our people takes first priority than your ambition for more power. This is one of the reasons why I have decided to ensure the future of our kingdom in having the right leader," the Alpha King was impressed with his son's way of thinking and resolve.
"So father, should we move forward in taking the allegiance with the Pride Family into works?" Prince Kratos reinforced his recommendation of working together with hunters.
Unknown to the father and son, Queen Raenys was fuming in anger towards his husband but mostly his stepson.
"Damn that Kratos!" Queen Raenys angrily mentioned the name of the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack.
She immediately called her favorite son, "Owen! If you are right about the human he has been hanging around. Try using her to put down your older brother. It's time to put our plans in place."
The queen of werewolves gave her instructions to Prince Owen so he could have a leverage against Prince Kratos.
On the other hand, while everyone was preoccupied plotting their next move, Princess Hannah laid down on her bed thinking and evaluating the brewing chaos within the royal palace.
'No one considers a woman to lead an entire kingdom? This will be the biggest mistake of my parents, writing me off as a candidate to the throne… just because I am a young woman,' Princess Hannah thought to herself.
She slowly opened a map of her own and marked certain areas red.
"It looks like I have to stir things up to prove my own worth…" Princess Hannah viciously smirked at the thought of her own plans in mind.

[-IN THE PRIDE MANSION-]
~Day after the night with Prince Kratos~
Scarlett did not attend the orientation of the Hunters Academy and spent most of her night with the Alpha Prince.
Waking up in the morning for a hopeful weekend gave an unexpected delight to her. She had fun with Prince Kratos and was abruptly interfered by a mysterious call.
If only they were not disturbed by his family, Scarlett would have enjoyed more and had more time with him.
"You look happy, Miss Scarlett! Should I ask what caused this energy and brightness in your face…?" Belinda wondered at the cheerfulness of the only daughter of their headmaster.
Scarlett answered her query, "Is it wrong to be happy and be positively hopeful for the day?"
She continued, "Let me enjoy my breakfast now and don't give me that curious look in your eyes."
"I think it's more of someone…" Belinda continued to probe around some details.
Both women giggled.
Before they could discuss further, Scarlett's older brother entered the dining room.
"Where were you last night? You missed the orientation!" Alec was clearly upset with his younger sister.
Scarlett knew her older brother would not be happy about her actions.
'I sometimes forget I am surrounded with older brothers. Alec is a possessive brother!' Scarlett looked at Alec while thinking of her answer to his concerns.
"I spent time with a friend. Is it bad to thank someone who saved me from my recent accident?" Scarlett tried to reason out with her older brother while eating her meal.
"Who's this friend of yours?" Alec insisted of finding out who did Scarlett spent time with.
"The important thing is… my friend is a human and he has no bad intentions…" Scarlett tried convincing Alec.
"So it's a he? When will you learn that you must be careful with your actions or else danger will be inevitable? You risk yourself out of the open too much!" Alec reprimanding Scarlett's choices.
It further agitated Alec when Scarlett rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh of dismissiveness.
"Don't you dare roll your eyes on me, missy!" Alec raised his voice to Scarlett.
Things were getting heated up between Alec and Scarlett.
Even Butler Fredo and Belinda became nervous that the two would end up saying something hurtful towards each other.
Right before they could respond to each other's temper, Gary intervened.
"Will you both stop this nonsense? Don't let father catch you arguing or else it will be a pitiful sight for both of you," Gary interjected as he walked closer.
He continued to pacify the tension around.
"Who is this friend of yours Scarlett? I think we should know who to thank for saving you. And Alec was only worried of you as a big brother. After all we are responsible for your safety and we will be accountable if bad things indeed happen to you again," Gary pointed out to their only sister.
From Gary's words, Scarlett realized how different it is to have older brothers worrying for her.
"His name is Gavin, the consultant to the Vice President… He helped me numerous times and saved me from that accident. So I just wanted to extend my gratitude by treating him in a dinner," Scarlett revealed to her older brothers.
At the mention of the Alpha Prince disguising himself under the name of Gavin, both older brothers of Scarlett instantly knew who it was.
Alec wanted to utter something but Gary glared at him, not revealing anything to Scarlett.
This made Scarlett wonder what's wrong with it.
"Just be careful! Father doesn't want you seeing anyone without his approval. You don't want him to get upset," Gary warned their sister.
"I am not romantically dating him or going out with him. It was just a gesture of gratitude!" sudden defense of Scarlett, justifying her actions to her older brothers.
But they all know that it was something getting more serious than a casual dinner.
Gary Pride became more driven in finding out why an Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack would hang out with their sister, especially with his notorious reputation of staying away from regular humans.
'What are you playing here now, Prince Kratos?' Gary Pride thought to himself.
