Chapter 8 - Emily's Big Lie

"Oh, Hans's cellphone is no longer active. How are you?"

Emily looked very confused. When she was confused and emotional, the little girl actually came to her.

"Mommy," called the little girl.

One of Emily's secrets that she kept from Hans was about this little matter. This little girl is actually Emily's biological child. Because previously Emily had been married to another man and had a daughter who is now 10 years old. Emily had purposely never told Hans everything. Because if Hans knew, it was certain that Hans and his family would not accept her again. And now Hans would come to her Apartment suddenly. When her daughter was in the Apartment too.

"Why this again. Why do you want?"

"Let's play, Malom."

"Oops, she's even asked to play again. Meanwhile, Hans wants to come here. I have to curse Maira right now," Emily thought in her heart.

"Okay, let's play now. Mommy, close your eyes, Mommy, you'll curse. But don't go out before Mommy calls you. How about it? Do you want it? Do you want it?"

"Yes, Mom, I will."

"Well then you swear first, okay. Mommy will take care of it."

"Yes, Mom."

"1... 2.... 3...."

Emily counted like a real person playing. But when Selly, Emily's daughter, had cursed, Emily just let it go. She deliberately did not look for her daughter so that her daughter would not come out so that Hans was free to enter her Apartment.

The bell in Emily's Apartment rang. It was certain that the one who came this time was Hans.

"It must be Hans. Huh, fortunately Selly has cursed. So I can bring him in here," Emily said in her heart.

But before opening the door to her Apartment, Emily cleaned her room first of everything that smelled of Selly. Only then did Emily open the door for Hans.

"Dear."

"Where have you been? Why did you open the door for so long?"

"Yes, sorry dear. I was in the bathroom earlier. I came in, honey."

Hans went into Emily's Apartment. Which is where the Apartment actually belongs to Hans. Hans immediately sat on Emily's bed with ease. Like what the two of them did it was a very natural thing.

"You come here at nights like this, honey? Why? Surely your longing for me is unbearable, right?" Emily asked with great confidence.

"That's one of them. But I'm really lazy at home. You know right now that Aleysa and her young Sister have moved to my house. Where did Grandma tell me to share a room with Aleysa, I don't want to. That's why I better meet you."

"What? Aleysa and her young Sister moved into your house? What are you like? I don't want it until you share the same room with her."

"I don't want too dear. That's why I'm here now. I guess tonight I will just sleep here with you. Is it okay?"

"It's bad. If Hans stays here, then what about Selly? Where is she cursing outside again. What if she gets hit by the night wind for a long time? Poor her," Emily thought in her heart.

Emily continued to daydream in front of Hans. Making Hans suspicious of her. Even though it was usually Emily who always took him alone here, but now when Hans was alone with her, she looked like someone who was confused.

"Emily? What are you doing? Are you sick? Why are you daydreaming like that?"

"I... Yes. I guess I'm not feeling well. So it's better for you to just go home. Because I don't want you to get sick from me."

"You are nothing. I don't care. If you are sick, I have to accompany you. You are here alone. What if you are okay? I don't want you to get hurt."

"But I guess you don't have to. I just need to rest. You'd better go home."

"How are you? You said earlier that you didn't want me to share the same room with Aleysa. But now you're telling me to go home."

"Yes, dear. But the conditions are not right. Tomorrow if you want to stay, if I'm feeling better, how long can you stay here. It's not good when I'm sick, so I can't serve you well. Yes right?"

Actually, Hans felt there was something strange about Emily's attitude this time. Hans felt he was being covered up. But Hans didn't know what it was either. However, because of Hans greater love for Emily, Hans finally obeyed Emily's words. Hans came home tonight too.

"Well then, I will go home first."

"Yes dear, yes. You can come back tomorrow, okay. I'm sure tomorrow I will be fine. Bye dear."

"Bye."

Emily even had time to push Hans out of her room. Behind Emily's Apartment door, Hans wondered to himself.

"Emily, what's wrong? Why is she acting weird like that to me? It's like someone is being covered up by her. But what?" Hans thought in his heart.

While Emily in the room went straight to her child who had been cursing for a long time on the balcony of her room.

"Selly. Selly dear. Come out, dear."

When Emily approached her, Selly was like a sleeping person. She closed her eyes. But when Emily tried to wake her up, Selly still didn't wake up. And when Emily held her body, her body was already very cold. Emily is also very worried about her child's current condition.

"Selly dear. Oh my gosh. How come your body is so cold like this? It must be because Selly has been exposed to the night wind for a long time. I have to take Selly to the hospital right now."

Emily immediately took her to the Hospital. Because Emily didn't want her child to get hurt. Moreover, Selly got sick like this because of her own doing.

*******

Right now Hans was on his way. Hans also still doesn't know where to go and where to spend the night tonight. What is clear, Hans does not want to go home. Because Hans didn't want to sleep in the same room with Aleysa. When Hans wanted to check his cellphone, it turned out that his cellphone had a low battery.

"Well, my cellphone is low again. I will charge it first then. I'm afraid there's something important."

In the car, Hans can indeed charge his cellphone without Hans having to be confused about where to charge his cellphone. When Hans cellphone had just turned on, Hans's Grandmother had already called him.

"Grandma? Why are you calling me all the time? Grandma must have told me to go home. I'm really lazy," Hans thought in his heart.
