Chereads / Not a Choice / Chapter 3 - Two Sisters

Chapter 3 - Two Sisters

"Sit on the empty seat you want," said Mr. Chen to which Rafa gave a small node.

The new student walked to the empty seat at the back. there are two empty seats, one is at the back or rather behind Yeri and the other is to the right of Yuna. Rafa prefers to sit in the back seat alone than he has to sit with Yuna. He did not know why, but he preferred to sit alone.

As he walked to his seat, Rafa didn't take his eyes off Nadia. But this is a misunderstanding for Yeri who has a high level of self-confidence. Yeri with her confidence thought that Rafa was watching her.

Yeri gently nudged Nadia's arm. "Does he like me? Why is he sitting behind me?" she whispered to Nadia.

"I don't know, maybe yes..." said Nadia, shaking her head slowly. Nadia is completely clueless about her best friend, but she still understands that.

Nadia already knew for sure that this one friend had an extraordinary level of self-confidence. How can anyone fall in love at the first meeting? Yeri seems to watch too many Korean dramas and Indonesian soap operas. So, she becomes a Drama Victim.

While Yuna snorted in annoyance. "Tsk, why didn't he choose to sit next to me?"

"Because you're not attractive at all," Bianca chimed in.

"Why can't your mouth say good things? You disturb me," Yuna said.

"My mouth has always been like this. Are you having a problem?" replied Bianca who didn't want to lose.

"I don't know what to say to you're so annoying," Yuna squeaked who was annoyed with Bianca.

The beautiful teenager with long hair turned his gaze away from looking at Bianca again, then she turned to look at Rafa, who is currently busy tidying up some of his textbooks on his bench.

Bianca who saw Yuna looking at Rafa immediately frowned in surprise, because Yuna looked at Rafa with a clear look as if to say that Yuna liked Rafa.

"Yuna, do you like the new kid?" Bianca asked straight to the point.

Yuna nodded her head a sign that she was a little interested in the new student named Rafandra.

"Don't like him. Neither you nor Lia, no one should fall in love with him," said Bianca coldly.

"Why?" Yuna and Lia said at the same time.

"No reason. And you two just can't be close to or like Rafandra. Not even once!" Bianca said firmly and with emphasis.

"Again? Did you warn us not to like men anymore? You--"

"Why? Don't you accept and want to protest?!" Bianca interrupted when Lia had not finished her sentence.

Lia immediately shrank because she was afraid of Bianca when she was angry. Creepy for him, as well as for Yuna. And finally, the two girls nodded their heads simultaneously. Better to take Bianca's word for it than the two of them to get into trouble.

"Yeah..." they said at the same time.

Bianca smirked. "Ra... Fan... Dra? hm, interesting.." she said while playing with a ballpoint pen in his hand, and raised an eyebrow at Rafa who was currently looking at Nadia.

The lesson in class 12-1 took place quietly and everyone in the class paid close attention to the lesson, except for Bianca, who had only been paying attention to Rafa's movements.

Bianca noticed Rafandra who was currently watching Nadia, but this made Bianca, not like him. Not without reason, Bianca always hates it when a guy approaches Nadia. I don't know why, but Bianca won't let anyone get close to her sister.

Nadia also knows how her stepsister behaves, where she has to be forced to always give in to her sister. and Nadia never had a problem with all of that because if she argued or fought with her sister, she would be the one to blame in the end.

So, as much as possible Nadia always relents and always avoids all events that will make her fight with her sister.

The recess bell has rung. Where the sound feels like a call to heaven for all students at Culture Technology High School. One by one the students in each class, so that class 12-1 was no exception, went out to the school canteen. It's time for lunch.

And in class 12-1 there were only a few people left. Nadia, Yeri, Bianca, Rafa, and two other students.

"Are you eating in class again? Bring some more lunch?" asked Yeri who had just finished putting her textbooks into her bag.

Nadia nodded and took out her lunch. "Aren't you going to the canteen?" she asked Yeri.

"No, I'm lazy to walk to the canteen. Besides, I also intend to go on a diet. But, I want to try the lunch you brought. Is it okay or not?" Yeri babbled at length.

Nadia smiled and nodded in agreement. Her best friend smiled broadly showing a row of neat teeth. Meanwhile, without them realizing it, Bianca had been looking at Nadia and Yeri with disapproval. Even though Nadia never bothered Bianca at all, even Nadia never wanted to get involved in anything with Bianca.

Until not long after, Rafa rose from his seat. Suddenly, Bianca immediately turned her eye to Rafa and she also stood up from her seat.

"Sorry, did I bother you or not?" Rafandra's voice managed to distract Nadia and Yeri who were busy enjoying their lunch.

"Eh, no. What's the matter?" Yeri replied in a friendly manner, while Nadia was just indifferent and kept putting food in her little mouth.

"Could you tell me where the canteen is?" Rafa asked doubtfully and glanced slightly at Nadia who didn't care about him at all.

"Aa... Canteen?" Yeri asked back while chewing her food.

Rafa nodded.

"The canteen direction--"

"Want to go with me?" Bianca interrupted Yeri who was just about to tell Rafa.

Rafa immediately turned his gaze to Bianca, then smiled kindly. "You also want to go to the canteen?" he asked Bianca.

Bianca nodded quickly and smiled broadly. it seems that Bianca does have the same intention as what she used to do with Nadia, she will keep everyone who wants to be close to her stepsister away.

"Okay, come on!" said Rafa in the end.

They both left the class leaving Yeri and Nadia. Yeri was made to gape at Bianca who was so presumptuous to interrupt her conversation. Even though Yeri knows that Bianca is a -a bit- stubborn and annoying student, but doesn't she have the sense that she can use to think that interrupting people's conversations is not good?

Yeri was annoyed with her best friend's half-brother.

"Tsk, that brat!" Yeri growled annoyed as she slammed the spoon in her hand.

Nadia smiled. "Why? You should already know how my sister," said Nadia unconcerned, and continued to put food into her little mouth.

"Eh, why can she have such a trait in other people? I know that you and she are only half-brothers, but you are still one father and one bloodThen, why can't she imitate your good nature just a little?! A little bit!" Yeri squeaked who still couldn't accept Bianca's attitude towards her.

"Don't talk like that, Yeri. I don't like it when you talk bad things about my sister," Nadia whispered.

"Again? You defended her again. Don't you realize, the more you succumb to her, the more useless you look!" Yeri growled.

I don't know why suddenly Yeri was so angry with Nadia. Was she is angry just because Bianca interrupted his conversation with Rafandra? or indeed Yeri is angry because she can't stand Nadia who always succumbs to her sister.

"Yeri..." Nadia whispered very slowly.

Nadia knew that Yeri was angry with her sister, but she also shouldn't be cursing Bianca like that. Nadia doesn't like it when someone makes her sister angry or hurts her stepsister's feelings.

"Never mind, I apologize to you. I'm already annoyed with your sister's behavior, but I shouldn't be angry with you like this. I ask again, and I don't mean to hurt your feelings," Yeri said pitifully. Indeed, sometimes Yeri when she's angry, she forgets herself.

Nadia smiled faintly because Yeri didn't mean to hurt her feelings. "I understand,"
