"Maybe there will come a time when you feel what I feel today."
^_^
Nadia stared. "What?!"
"How could that be?" Nadia asked, blinking her eyes rapidly.
"He bumped into me at the convenience store, instead of apologizing he just cursed at me," Yeri replied curtly.
"Tsk, I should have killed you right then!" Yeri pretended to wave her hand at Lucas.
"Aaa... so you remember that incident...." Lucas tried to stay calm.
"Do you think I'll just forget about your words that hurt my heart?" asked Yeri.
Oh no, Yeri started again with her dramatic acting. This made Nadia, Rafa, and Mark chuckle.
"D-Don't say that--" Lucas paused for a moment, then lowered his gaze from Yeri. "I'd look really bad if you said that," he continued quietly.
Nadia and Mark sighed at the same time.
"Shouldn't you be apologizing?" They said at the same time, causing Rafa to look at his brother.
Lucas scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably. "Oh, should I?" he asked innocently.
Nadia nodded, while Yeri? Ah, that girl just wanted to hear an apology from Lucas. But, it seems very difficult to hear the word sorry.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to say that. I didn't mean it," Lucas said to Yeri.
"Treat me pasta rose," said Yeri casually.
"W-what?!"
"You didn't hear my request?" Yeri chuckle.
"What does that have to do with my apology?" Lucas snapped.
"It's okay if you don't want to treat me to a meal. I won't forgive you just like that," Yeri said, rolling her eyes lazily.
The chubby girl folded her arms across her chest, glancing at Lucas. "How?" he asked again.
"Tsk, do you know that the snacks you took that time I paid for it?" Lucas grumbled annoyed at Yeri.
Yeri shrugged nonchalantly. "Do I look like I care?" she said lightly and felt no guilt at all.
"Aish you... It seems, you are more suitable to be Bianca's sister," Lucas whispered.
"Hey! Don't bring my sister around!" said Nadia did not like it.
"Okay fine, I'll treat you. But no--"
"Now! Come on!" encourage Yeri to be enthusiastic to cut Lucas' words.
"Not today!" Lucas insisted.
"I want it today!" Yeri debate.
"Never mind. Just how long will this endless fight go on if no one is willing to budge?" Mark opened his voice because he was getting annoyed with the two of them.
"Or do you want Nadia to kill you here?" said Rafa, laughing at Lucas.
"Ah, you're right," said Nadia, opening her long sleeves again.
Lucas immediately stood up from his seat. He didn't want to take the risk if he had to face Nadia, who seemed to be defending her best friend. Lucas didn't want to bother either.
"Okay. Come on!" Finally, he gave up too.
RIP Luke's pocket money :(
"Since then," Yeri pouted.
"Tsk, you pufferfish!" whispered Lucas.
"What did you say?!" Yeri snapped.
"Th-that... The restaurant will close later. Come on, let's go!" Lucas said nervously, afraid of Yeri's outburst.
And they both left the coffee shop. leaving the three people who were still loyal in the tavern while watching them slowly disappear from behind the door.
Nadia chuckled. "You're Yeri," she said.
Mark kept watching Nadia's every move. This made Rafa, not like it. Even though Rafa knew that his brother was only in awe of the girl who was currently walking back to his stand, it made Rafa afraid that he would lose Nadia.
"Don't look at him like that all the time."
"Why?" asked Mark.
"You'll fall in love with him later!" replied Rafa curtly.
"Are you crazy? How could I fall in love just by looking at her? You are so weird," Mark ruffled Rafa's hair excitedly.
"I could fall in love the first time I saw his smile. Why don't you?" Rafa pursed his lips annoyed because his brother's words were completely unacceptable to him.
Mark fell silent. "Ah, you're right. Indeed, the first impression is the most memorable," he said.
"Why? Don't tell me you already like Nadia?"
Rafa slightly moved away from Mark. .this time he was really worried about his brother and hoped that his sister would say that he didn't like Nadia. Although many things can of course make Mark fall in love with this beautiful girl.
"Do you want to compete with your sister?" Rafa asked anxiously.
"If you have to, why not?" Mark teased, putting on a serious face.
"Older brother?!" Rafa growled while throwing a sharp glare at his older brother.
Mark laughed bitterly. "I'm joking, Rafandra!"
"Don't joke around with such a serious look..people will think it's serious," Rafa grumbled annoyed.
"Never mind, I have class in 2 hours. I'll go first," said Mark as he got up from his seat.
"Should go now?" Rafa asked, raising an eyebrow.
Mark nodded in approval. "I have to go to the library first," said Mark.
"Okay, be careful," concluded Rafa.
Mark just smiled and approached Nadia's stand. "I'll go first, I have to go to campus," Mark said goodbye to Nadia, who was busy with customer orders.
"Yes, bro. Be careful on the road, and thank you very much," said the beautiful girl.
"Don't worry. Call me again if there's a problem. Got it?"
Nadia nodded. "OK,"
Rafa again snorted in annoyance seeing the interaction between Nadia and her sister who looked so familiar with ease.
Mark immediately left and disappeared from behind the door of the coffee shop. After seeing that Mark had left, now it was Rafa's turn to approach Nadia at her stand.
"What do you want?" asked Nadia.
"Nothing. Just wanted to see you up close," said Rafa with a grin.
"It's up to you," Nadia said nonchalantly, the girl was still busy with her work.
Rafa kept looking at Nadia, making the girl a little uncomfortable.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something wrong with my appearance?" asked Nadia, who was already bored with Rafa's attitude who kept watching her.
"Nothing. I'm just surprised," said Rafa, smiling five fingers.
"W-wonder why?" Nadia frowned in confusion.
"Just wondering, why are you getting more beautiful every day huh?" said Rafa to the point.
.Nadia froze, then pretended to be busy with a few glasses in front of her and ignored Rafa. More precisely, Nadia was embarrassed.
"Cieee... Misbehave..." Rafa teased.
Nadia looked away reluctant to see Rafa. Her face was as red as a boiled crab. Although it's not the first time Rafa has said something sweet like this to him, Nadia is still a stranger and doesn't like being treated like this.
Nadia doesn't want it if later she really has special feelings for Rafandra, she still has to keep her promise to her sister not to like the handsome teenager.
"Hmm... As I thought, no one can resist my charms..including you, Nadia.." continued Rafa confidently.
"Ishh... What do you mean Rafa? I'm normal. Not impressed at all," Nadia squeaked, still reluctant to see Rafa.
"Oh, yeah? Are you sure you can resist the charm of a Rafandra?"
Rafa continues to tease Nadia, it makes Nadia really can't focus.
"Shhh... Shut up, why are you suddenly saying that? Are you aware? My work was interrupted because of you," Nadia grumbled.
Rafa instead smirked at his horse and ignored Nadia who was annoyed with him.
"Yeah, yeah, sorry. Erm, but I'll be honest if you are beautiful today," said Rafa.
"Rafa?" Nadia is now looking at Rafa's face.
"Hmm?" Rafa also saw Nadia.
"Do you like me?" asked Nadia to the point.
Rafa nodded vigorously. "Yes. I should have said it before you asked," he said seriously.
"What made you like me?" Now Nadia's face turned even more serious.
"Not only do I like you, but I also love you, Huang Nadia..."
Nadia was silent with Rafa's confession.
"The reason?" Nadia asked again.
"Nothing," said Rafa casually.
"No reason? Why is that?"
"Love doesn't need a reason, Nadia. Because love just happens, and we don't know who we will fall in love with. Yes, right?"
Rafa smiled again.
"Y-yeah, I know," said Nadia nervously. His heart was pounding.
Nadia looked down, unable to look at Rafa's eyes, which were full of seriousness.
"Hey," Rafa lifted Nadia's thin chin, making the girl look up slightly.
Now their beaded pair are face to face.
"Listen to me carefully, okay..."
Nadia nodded innocently.
"I don't know the true meaning of love, and I don't know anything about love..."
"Then why did you say you love me?" Cut Nadia quickly.
"Because I want to know more about love... With you ..."
