This is a chapter I WAS working on before deciding to re-write. Don't know if you guys really care, but here it is.
Do you guys want me to upload some of the extra chapters I had saved in my folder? I don't think they were cannon, but they were little trial-chapters I made.

"Now!"
Twelve figures jumped down the canopy, their blades gleaming from the light.
What remained of the expedition team had just ambushed a pack of seven, Stage One, bio-slimes.
They're what they sound like. Slimes, but made of organic matter.
It would be troublesome if the expedition team were to fight them head-on. The majority of the bio-slimes' body was blood, but hidden within were numerous fleshy tendrils and dangerously sharp bone fragments.
The annoying part was that they could restructure themselves as they pleased and possessed high regenerative abilities.
It was imperative to kill them as fast as possible.
The group began to hack furiously at their respective targets, not missing a beat. There were two to each, and half got instantly killed under the expedition team's fierce ambush.
Four remained from the initial seven.
The remaining bio-slimes quickly responded by firing a garage of bone shards, forcing the expedition team to fall back temporarily.
Andrew cursed, "Well shit, this is going to be hard." Quickly coming up with a plan, he ordered, "Stall and wait for an opening!"
Hearing his command, the expedition team's members immediately moved into four groups of three and ran towards a bio-slime.
Cage, Layla, and Arman rushed towards the bio-slime on the far left of the terrain and took a formation with Cage acting as the vanguard and with the others taking a more supportive role and waiting for openings.
Cage was the vanguard because of his newly developed [Frost Armor]; the protective properties were very high and were well suited to counter the bio-slimes. Their movements would be slowed if the bio-slimes touched the defensive skill due to the frosty mana. It was even more effective because of the nature of the bio-slimes.
"Layla, start preparing the de-buffs!"
Cheerfully responding, Layla did an exaggerated salute and said, "Aye Aye, squad captain!"
After about four days, the expedition team had realized that the beasts of Quadrant X were, quite literally, built differently.
Comparing the beasts from Quadrant X to beasts from other Quadrants was like comparing a sheltered newbie warrior to a veteran. Under the intense competition and environment that is Quadrant X, it was either be strong or be devoured by the strong.
Upon realizing that the beasts they fought were on a whole other level, the expedition team made a formal power structure. They would need impeccable teamwork if they were going to take down beasts who were inherently stronger than most humanoid races.
Cage was a squad captain, who led a squad of three, and his squad was ranked second out of four strength-wise.
The number one squad was obviously Andrew's. Their ranking referred to each squad to make things simpler. Squad one consisted of Andrew, Vic, and Dan. Squad two was Cage, Layla, and Arman. The other two squads didn't have anyone of particular interest to Cage. Surprisingly though, Harry had survived and was the leader of squad four.
There used to be twenty of them, but the weak got culled early, one by one, eight times.
(further update: My last two brain-cells argued for a little and decided to re-upload the deleted chapters and re-write in a separate, new, doc-story-thing. Also, sorry for the 42 notifications you're about to get :/ )
