Whoever was holding her froze, but didn't remove the cloth from her face.
The delay was still long enough though for Celeste to fight, stomping on the person's foot to get a reaction that allowed her to move away from the cloth as the other cursed behind her.
The second growl that came caused everyone to freeze even Celeste. She heard the noise clearly but didn't see where it came.
"I thought that you don't care about her anymore? Shouldn't that mean you don't care what we do with her?" No response followed the question. In fact it was met with stifling silence.
Did these people know the creature responsible for making that noise?
"You should be getting back home already, it is rather too late for someone like you to be out here." Bane told her. He tried to keep tone level despite the rising frustration that he currently felt. Life was really not going on easy on him recently.
