Bane was still frozen. What was the little human doing here? He had been certain that this was nowhere near her route home. Yet, there was standing before him.
Had she seen anything that had taken place? He narrowed his eyes as he looked at her causing her to take a step back.
"I was just walking by, I didn't expect to see you here." Celeste told him. The alpha still didn't say anything as he continued to stare at her. His expression was one that was hard for her to read.
She didn't want to think that what she had just heard had anything to do with him, yet there was he standing in front of her.
"You should be getting back home already, it is rather too late for someone like you to be out here." Bane told her. He tried to keep tone level despite the rising frustration that he currently felt. Life was really not going on easy on him recently.
