The alpha didn't have the intention of seeing anyone if it wasn't work related.
He was the one who decided to start avoiding her first all of a sudden. That wasn't her fault.
Or at least he hadn't done or said anything that indicated it was.
For her, it was actually better this way. She could breathe at work. Not only because he was no longer stopping by but also because Diana wasn't bothering her so much either.
