Celeste stared at the penthouse door.
Nothing that she had expected to happen when Bane came back was happening.
He talked with her the same way that he did before but he didn't seem as engaged.
She was glad that she wouldn't have to be staying there any longer.
Donovan didn't say anything as he helped her move her things.
Bane hadn't been back yet or at least he wasn't there when she had gotten back after work.
It had been an uneventful day since Diana wasn't there Edgar hadn't said why just that she wasn't working.
Celeste didn't bother questioning nor did anyone else since it made their life easier.
Plus, she had other things on her mind as it was.
"Are you going to be okay with things as they are?" It was the first time that Donovan had really spoken to her since the night before. She gave him a puzzled look as she didn't really quite understand his question.
