Crescent decided that the best option would be to go back. Though he had already been getting mental questions about what he was doing showing up back at the mountain when he should have been at work.
He didn't answer honestly because he didn't know what the right move to make was.
"I guess we're going back then. It seems I made the wrong move." He laughed though Celeste still seemed to be not convinced about what exactly was going on.
Crescent only felt slightly better after hearing Bane's voice. He didn't exactly sound fine, but he was obviously 'okay'.
Perhaps it really was a case of him worrying a little too much about the other and he was just busy with work at the current moment.
That didn't take away from the fact though that he still needed to do something in order to make sure that Celeste was safe. What he had heard when he thought the alpha was trying to contact him was something that he knew better than to ignore.
